Emily Blunt set the red carpet on fire at the 29th Critics Choice Awards, which took place at Barker Hangar at the Santa Monica Airport in Los Angeles on Sunday, January 14th.
The 40-year-old actress sizzled in a fiery red Armani Privé gown for the awards ceremony, which she attended due to receiving a Best Supporting Actress nomination for her role in Oppenheimer. It was a tough category, as she faced stiff competition from Danielle Brooks for The Color Purple, America Ferrera for Barbie, Jodie Foster for Nyad, Julianne Moore for May December, and Da’Vine Joy Randolph for The Holdovers. Randolph ultimately took home the award, but Blunt was still a red carpet winner to us!
Emily Blunt Sizzles In Red Armani Privé Gown At The Critics Choice Awards
The Pain Hustlers actress made jaws drop when she made her red carpet arrival in a fiery one-sleeved Giorgio Armani Privé gown, which featured red sequin embroidery, and oversized red rosettes cascading down the back. The dress featured a *very* low back, which Blunt drew attention to by wearing her hair in an elegant updo, which also resembled one of the rosettes. Snaps to hairstylist Laini Reeves!
Emily accessorized with red Alexandre Birman heels, Tiffany & Co. Sea Fan diamond earrings by Jean Schlumberger, and a Tiffany & Co. bracelet and ring from the Blue Book Collection. The Jungle Cruise star finished off her look by adding a bold, statement red lip – reportedly the Chanel color 'Rouge Privé' – for that final bit of class and wow factor.
Red was clearly *the* color of the Critics Choice Awards, as Dua Lipa and Margot Robbie were also among the celebs who stepped out in seductive scarlet ensembles that night.
This wasn't the first time Emily Blunt and Margot Robbie – aka the Barbenheimer girls – walked the red carpet in similar outfits. Earlier this month, they attended the Governors Awards in almost-identical black dresses with dazzling diamond detailing. Blunt wore an elegant black gown with a plunging front from Miu Miu, while Robbie's slightly racier cutout version hailed from Celine. We were obsessed with both!
