Production on ‘Angelyne’ initially began in early 2020 but was promptly shut down with the surge of Covid-19 cases. However, Rossum is back on set and ready to headline as the mysterious American singer and television personality who rose to fame in the 80’s from a series of billboards plastered across Hollywood.
The trailer for the series was released last year, showing Rossum looking the spitting image of the recognizable singer. Filming is evidently still taking place on the series, however, as Rossum was recently seen making a busty display in a tight top and heavily teased hair complete with blunt bangs. The actress was even spotted getting out of a hot pink Corvette--Angelyne’s signature car.
Rossum, as well as her husband Sam Esmail, are serving as co-executive producers on the show which is now set to air later in 2021. The 35-year-old initially rose to fame for her role in 2003’s ‘Mystic River’ before going on to star in the 2004 movie rendition of ‘The Phantom of the Opera.’ She is most well-known, perhaps, for her role as the tough-as-nails Fiona Gallagher in the Showtime hit series ‘Shameless’ which ran from 2011-2021.
During the hiatus from filming the upcoming Peacock show, Rossum and her husband welcomed their first child together--a baby girl named Samantha. The actress kept her pregnancy a secret until giving birth in May, finally posting a photo of her little girl’s footprint and her baby bump on Instagram with the sweet caption “5.24.21 On a sunny Monday morning, at 8:13AM, we welcomed our daughter into the world.”
