Eva Reads Her Children's Book In A Fun Outfit During A Kid-Friendly Event
In late March, the 51-year-old took a trip to The People Place, a parent and baby community organization offering parenting classes and baby groups in Culver City, California. She showed up to a special event to do an in-person reading of her children's book, Desi, Mami, And The Never-Ending Worries, which was published in September 2024.
Eva has shared in previous interviews that the book was inspired by her two daughters, whom she had with her long-term partner, actor Ryan Gosling, and discusses dealing with anxiety and negative emotions.
"Eva has written a deeply relatable children's book...to help normalize anxiety for kids and give them tools on how to move through and process their worries in a developmentally appropriate way," wrote The People Place on Instagram.
"We are so grateful to the multi-talented and all-around lovely Eva Mendes for sharing her beautiful book."
For the event, the model sported a super cute cheetah-print bucket hat, which she wore to accessorize a patterned maxi dress with long sleeves and a subtly cinched waist. She kept on a fashionable crossbody purse with a silver chain and completed her look with large hoop earrings that complemented the bucket hat.
In a post about the event at The People Place on Instagram, Eva wrote, "I wish I would have known about this place when I had my babies!"
Fans React To Eva's Springtime Look On Social Media
After the mom of two and the organization posted pictures of her reading to little kids, fans and other Instagram users took to the comments section to comment on how wholesome the event was and how great she looked.
"How gorgeous!" commented a fan, while another added that the Girl In Progress actress looked "beautiful."
"Love the pattern of your dress!" wrote another fan.
Aside from her cute outfit, fans wrote in the comments that they thought what she's been doing to promote her emotional children's book has been worthy of "respect and admiration."
"Everything you do, you do with full passion, experience, and empathy as a mother and a woman," added an adoring follower, while another commented, "You're such a nice lady."
A few years ago, Eva announced that while she hadn't entirely decided to quit acting, she'd be choosing to prioritize her daughters over her career, dedicating more time to being a stay-at-home mom. This is why the release of her children's book and seeing her attend more public events in stylish outfits is exciting news for her fanbase.
