Eva Mendes brought out her summer wardrobe for a special announcement to all kids and parents! On July 24th, the actress took to Instagram to announce her first kid’s book, Desi, Mami & the Never-Ending Worries.
In the post, the mother of two wore a brown and white polka-dot dress that featured a pleated skirt, a halter neck, and a white buckle belt around her waist. She kept things simple with glam by keeping her makeup minimal and had her brunette locks down in an effortless center part.
The Place Beyond The Pines alum captioned her post: “Don’t believe every thing you think. Whether it was the monster under my bed or the monster in my head, I’ve been an anxious nail biter all my life. My first kid’s book Desi, Mami & the Never Ending Worries is for those who worry endlessly or who love someone that does,” along with a white heart emoji at the end.
Her fans eagerly commented on how excited they are for her new book and how stunning she continues to look at 50.
“Stunning Eva. I’ve pre-ordered a copy of Desi Mami to read to my Year 1 (1st grade) class. So excited! As someone who is forever anxious, knowing someone as successful and beautiful as you also has anxiety, helps me as I know I’m not alone,” commented one person. “The dress looks like the one Julia Roberts wears in Pretty Woman. What a beautiful dress,” said another user. “I love the way Eva dresses! Her style is somewhat like in the 50’s. So classic,” wrote another person.
The book is set to hit shelves on September 17, available in both English and Spanish.
The wife of Ryan Gosling told PEOPLE, “Desi, Mami and the Never-Ending Worries is a love letter to my kids and yours. Learning how to train our brain to work for us and not against us is easier said than done! At my home and in Desi’s, we try to deal with the never-ending worries and anxieties that we all have, so those negative thoughts don’t take over and dominate.”
The book tells the story of a young girl named Desi who is scared of the monsters lurking under her bed. With her mother’s support, Desi learns to overcome her nighttime fears.
