Eva Mendes recently shared her willingness to undergo beauty treatments, provided they come with reversible outcomes. The Hitch actress, 50, shared with The Times in a new interview that she has dabbled in Botox and various other temporary cosmetic procedures, admitting that she has had some regrets along the way.
This follows earlier speculation from fans on TikTok, who remarked that the mother of two appeared “unrecognizable” during her appearance on The Today Show this spring, leading many to believe she had undergone surgery or received fillers.
Eva Mendes Opens Up About Cosmetic Enhancements And Procedures In New 'Times' Interview
"I'm not afraid to try things that are safe, because most of these little treatments, let's say, are reversible," Mendes told the outlet in the interview published last week. The Ghost Rider alum added: "'If you get Botox, it goes away if you don't like it. There have been times where I've regretted something… and then you just wait it out."
This candid chat stems from Mendes' previous statements addressing critics who accused her of dismissing plastic surgery rumors.
In 2021, Mendes took to social media to "clear up" any confusion. The Place Beyond the Pines star aimed to set the record straight after a response to a comment left fans thinking she was "denying" the surgery allegations.
At the time, Mendes (who shares daughters Esmeralda, 10, and Amada, 8, with husband Ryan Gosling) write: "Never "denied plastic surgery. All I did was reply to a specific comment on SM." She went on: "Would never deny that stuff. I'm all for it. All. For. It."
In 2014, Mendes decided to step away from acting to concentrate on her family and explore new opportunities. Among these ventures was her debut picture book, Desi, Mami, and the Never-Ending Worries, released on September 17th. Mendes also lent her voice to the audio version of the book.
