Is there anyone who doesn’t experience bloating on a regular basis? Bloating is caused by inflammation, and typically results in a swollen appearance to the abdomen and some level of discomfort. And it affects pretty much everyone.

There are many factors that can result in bloating and inflammation, but the most common area that affects bloating is your diet.

Most of us have come to realize that unhealthy foods or processed carbs typically cause bloating, but there are also some healthy foods that can cause it. And most of us will be surprised to learn that there is a really common food that we all eat almost every day that is a major contributor to bloating.

We’re talking about cheese. Dairy plays a huge role in causing inflammation, and unfortunately that means cheese is a culprit.

Lactose, which is found in all dairy products, can be difficult for most people to digest. Even if you don’t have lactose intolerance, it can be very likely that you may have some trouble digesting lactose - especially when you eat it in large quantities.

When you can’t properly digest foods, your body responds with inflammation. Which means you get bloated.

This often happens to people when eating dairy, and cheese is one of the most popular dairy items out there.

The best way to stop bloating is to eliminate the foods that you know cause it. Though if you can’t totally stop eating cheese, there are other ways to fight inflammation.

Try drinking inflammation-fighting teas more regularly, like ginger tea or turmeric tea. This can counteract the bloating you experience from eating cheese and other difficult-to-digest foods.
