It’s difficult to remember a time when eyebrows didn’t take centerstage as a prominent feature to highlight when you’re doing your makeup routine. The number of brow products on shelves is astounding (especially compared to just a decade ago) and the demand for procedures like micro blading to give sparse brows depth and heft are at an all-time high. But there’s a sweet side effect to having great brows that you may not be aware of: they can distract from forehead wrinkles. If fine lines are your forehead are a bother for you, Professional Makeup Artist Nevena Tomic, who is also the founder of La Beaute Fatale cosmetics, says this one eyebrow-filling hack can capture people’s eyes and make you forget all about those lines.

Choose A Gel With Fibers

One of Tomic’s secrets is that she says she is a big fan of utilizing a brow gel that has mini fibers to help fluff up your brows. “By adding volume, this will help attract attention away from any crows feet or wrinkles in the forehead/eye area,” Tomic said. “There’s so many techniques out there that help achieve a clean, arched, full brow. From outlining the brow, to drawing on thin hairs with a skinny brow pencil, applying a brow gel to combing your brows up for a more elongated look — my go to technique is a brow gel with mini fibers. The fibers attach to your own hair and provide you with a full brow.”

If you aren’t into the drawing-on techniques that you may see all over TikTok and YouTube, using a fiber gel is a minimalist way to easily achieve a glamorous brow.

Gel Fiber Brow Products

“The reason I created my own brand, La Beaute Fatale Cosmetic, was because I didn’t want to use products that were tested on animals, products that contain glue, products that clogged my pores, etc..” Tomic said, adding that she used to get blemishes from her brow pencils. “My go to brow gel is my very own, Brow Fixx Tint & Shaper, which is our top selling item,” She said. “A tinted gel formula that tames and fills in brows with mini fibers to bulk up brows.”

This pick is water-resistant and helps make brows look denser and fuller.

Brow Fill-In Technique

“First step, wash the area with a cleanser that gets rid of all the dirt and oil on your brow bone,” Tomic instructs. “Step two, apply a toner that will remove dead skin cells and prep the area for an optimal application. Step three, use a brow comb to shape your brows and comb the hairs in an upward direction. Paying attention to the type of arch you are looking to achieve. Step four, apply the tinted brow gel with mini fibers with soft strokes for an even application.”

And to finish off your brow, Tomic says she likes to apply an illuminated powder under the brow arch to really make the brow pop. “Additionally, the shine will keep your eyes focused on the glow and not draw more attention to the fine lines,” she said. “And there you have it, runway ready brows!”

One great illuminating powder to try is this pick by Physician’s Formula, which comes in five shades. Your best brows are just a few products and steps away.
