Mariah Carey set Instagram ablaze this week, showcasing her figure in a striking red leather midi dress that accentuated her slim waist and curves. The Grammy winner and style icon, 55, posed beside a Christmas tree in the asymmetrical, figure-hugging item as she promoted her holiday jam, “Christmas Time Is In The Air Again.”
The “All I Want for Christmas Is You” hitmaker’s Christmas Time Tour also notably just came to a close in New York City. On December 14th, the “Always Be My Baby” singer captioned her video: “Christmas Time Is In The Air Again (and so are the germs that got me sick, but let’s stay positive!)” Carey had to cancel three shows last week due to the flu, but showed that she didn’t let the illness get her down! Fans headed to her comments section to share their thoughts on her red-hot outfit.
“Goddess,” one wrote as another added: “dahhhhhling the ensemble is everything.” Someone else chimed in, noting: “Get well soon queen we LUV U” as one other gushed: “the body!!” with a fire emoji. Others conveyed their (and our thoughts) on Carey’s look with red hearts and heart-eyes.
To complete her get-up, Carey added what seemed to be a cream-colored shawl-like piece to keep warm and strappy sandal heels. The “My All” artist added a shiny silver heart-shaped necklace and a sparkling ring to accessorize. As for her glam, Carey wore her signature caramel-colored tresses down, parted to the side and styled into elegant loose waves.
Carey’s Christmas Time Tour marked her fourteenth series of concerts, featuring performances across various locations in the United States. Kicking off on November 6th at the Yaamava’ Resort & Casino in Highland, California, the tour concluded on December 17th at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York City.
Fans lauded her 27-song setlist and admired her stylish, sparkling holiday outfits. On December 16th, Carey expressed her gratitude to fans for their support during her tour, especially after she came down with the flu. She bid an emotional farewell to the tour on Instagram. “Lambs, thank you for making my #Christmastime so special,” the mom of two wrote. Carey added: “I’ve loved singing with you every night, and I can’t wait to see you all tomorrow in Brooklyn for the last show of the tour.”
