Selena Gomez and Chrissy Teigen are no strangers to the beauty world or to the swirling rumors of fillers and cosmetic procedures.
Last week, a fresh Instagram photo of Gomez, 31, with her beau, Benny Blanco, ignited a flurry of fan chatter.
Many started comparing Gomez to Teigen, 38, commenting on how “different” the Only Murders in the Building actress appeared.
Others even suggested that the Rare Beauty founder might have recently opted for some fillers, leading her to resemble the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit alum.

Selena Gomez Compared To Chrissy Teigen Amid ‘Filler’ Rumors After New Instagram Post Emerges
On July 5th, E! News shared screenshots of photos originally shared by Gomez and her boyfriend Blanco, 36, from their Fourth of July celebration. The outlet captioned the 3-part post: “We can’t get enough of this duo.” Fans then headed to the comments section to share their thoughts.
“Selena looking more like Chrissy Teigen, the obsessions with surgeries is our of this world,” one wrote as another added: “the thing is all these “stars” try to get the same look via aesthetic procedures and end up looking the same, altered versions of a normal face, when they don’t even need it and they’re gorg to begin with.”
Others disagreed. One wrote: “it’s not surgery, she has lupus and that’s bcs of her meds.” Someone else added: “Selena has always had the same face. She has to take Lupus meds that cause “moon face” and swelling. I get a puffy moon face and cheeks from my autoimmune thyroid disease bc it makes me retain water.”

Gomez first opened up about her health challenges in a candid 2015 interview with Billboard, where she revealed she’d been battling lupus for two years. This revelation followed her sudden decision to cancel her 2013 tour and check into a rehab facility for treatment. In 2017, she underwent a kidney transplant as part of her ongoing fight against lupus.
During her 2016 Revival World Tour, Gomez took another step back, this time entering a mental health facility to address anxiety, panic attacks, and depression—issues she attributed to her lupus in a statement to People Magazine.
In April 2020, Gomez further disclosed that she had been diagnosed with bipolar disorder. While she hasn’t directly addressed recent fan speculation and accusations about cosmetic surgery, she did respond to a particularly harsh comment on Instagram in December 2023.

An IG user from the account @popfactions suggested that Gomez should “remove your cheek fillers/implants” and claimed they were affecting her brain.
This comment appeared under a post announcing that Gomez was dating music producer Blanco. In her comeback, Gomez replied, “Hahahaha I’ve had Botox bb girl,” as reported by E! News.
Much like Gomez, Teigen has also been the subject of cosmetic surgery rumors in recent times. The model has openly discussed undergoing a few surgical procedures over the years.
