Camila Cabello caused quite a stir among her fans last month when she revealed her striking hair transformation by trading her dark brown locks for a lighter blonde hue, all the while teasing her upcoming music.
The “Havana” hitmaker, 27, has continued to shock her fans with her revamped image and style. In her recent appearance on the cover of Paper Magazine last week, she rocked an edgy denim top and sported bleached eyebrows to match her light blonde tresses.
As observed on social media, the “My Oh My” singer’s latest look has elicited mixed reactions from fans. While some have lauded her major brow transformation as being “cool,” others find it too jarring. On March 21st, Paper shared the cover image of Cabello in a post for their 1.9 million Instagram followers. Cabello’s fans headed to the comments section to share their thoughts.

Fans Are Divided After Seeing Camila Cabello’s Newly Bleached Eyebrows & Blonde Hair Transformation
“Whoever was in charge of her eyebrows should be fired,” one harshly wrote as another added: “I’m all for a rebrand but this doesn’t feel authentic.” Someone else replied: “Not a fan of this no eye brow look,” as one other concurred: “Not loving the hair and the eyebrows are atrocious.”
Others explained why they thought the no eyebrows look is “out.” One wrote: “She’s a little too late for this aesthetic. It’s been done, the bleached brows, the bleached blonde hair, the indie inspired marketing. It’s not going to work.” Another noted: “i feel like she’s trying far too hard & this rebrand isn’t going to work.” One user added: “Camila is beautifull, but I think that type of blond is not for her and in this picture she looks so strange.”

To complete her look for the new cover, Cabello rocked white and rosy blended, smokey eyeshadow, bold black winged liner, sky-high lashes, radiant blush and a bronze lipstick. As for her blonde tresses, she wore them down, parted in the center and styled sleek-straight.
Other fans seemed to remain hopeful about Cabello’s drastic new look and what new music (an album reportedly titled C,XOXO) might be on the horizon. “I love Camila, since the beginning I’ve been a fan of hers but I’m not really into this change, feels unnatural. Let’s wait and see what the new album is like, I’ve loved all the previous ones,” one wrote. Another fan commented: “I LOVE this new Camila and her new era, better than ever.”
While speaking to the outlet for the new cover story, Cabello opened up about her new music (her internet rap-inspired single "I Luv It" has been teased online and expected for a March 27th release). According to Cabello, exploring uncharted territories in music is an exhilarating prospect for her. Her fans should anticipate the unexpected as she gears up to release new tunes that break the mold.
"This is my fourth time doing an album, which is not that many times to do something," she shared. "This is the most confident I’ve been." Cabello also talked about breaking free from a perfect pop princess narrative following her memorable Fifth Harmony rise to fame. "Culture goes up and down," she dished. "You’re that girl one day and then you’re trash the next day. There is no master plan."
Last month, Cabello wowed her followers on Instagram with her platinum blonde hair makeover, while also hinting at new music on the horizon.
In an Instagram Story clip, the "Señorita" artist modeled her lighter ‘do while filming herself in front of a mirror with a camcorder. She donned a cropped white tee while flashing a black lingerie piece. For her makeup look, the "Shameless" singer could be seen sporting a 90s-esque smokey silver eyeshadow, black liner, voluminous lashes, pink blush and a glossy pink pout.
On her IG Story in December 2023, Cabello shared her favorite memories from the year. She added a snap of herself appearing to record vocals before a microphone arrangement and told fans that 2023 was "mostly the year of this." She further teased her devotees, adding: "see you next year b—tches."
Cabello dropped her last record, Familia, in April 2022 and it spawned danceable pop hits like "Bam Bam (feat. Ed Sheeran)" and "Don't Go Yet." We're keeping our eyes peeled for more info!
