Fans Are Praising Cindy Crawford For ‘Aging Naturally’ In A Recent Makeup Tutorial Showing Wrinkles And Fine Lines: ‘Thanks To No Plastic’

Cindy Crawford recently shared a fresh video tutorial with Allure, demonstrating to fans how to achieve a 90s-inspired lip look using brown lip liner and a neutral, glossy lipstick. This technique is a key element of her “ten-minute makeup routine.”
Over the past week, numerous admirers have lauded the 58-year-old supermodel for her straightforward instructions and have also praised her for embracing “natural” aging, showcasing her “authentic” skin texture.
On August 1st, the outlet shared a clip from Crawford’s makeup routine (in full located below) to Instagram. In the longer video, the mom of two explained how to recreate her “classic 90s supermodel look” when it came to lining her lips, filling in her eyebrows, prepping her skin, making her eyes pop and more.
Fans headed to the post’s comments section to share their thoughts. “I adore that she’s aging naturally. Hero,” one wrote as another added: “Please keep aging naturally! We love seeing it and knowing we are not alone in our quest to remain human looking! You look lovely.”
Someone else replied: “Aging gracefully…absolutely stunning!” One other concurred, noting: “Gorgeous! Love how she is unapologetic about her aging! The Real Deal.”
This isn’t the first occasion the runway icon has been celebrated for “aging gracefully” and her optimistic approach to getting older. As her followers are well aware, Crawford often posts makeup-free selfies on Instagram, emphasizing her belief in embracing age without fear.
Prior to applying any makeup, Crawford emphasized to the publication that she places great importance on thoroughly preparing her skin and enriching it with moisturizing products. “I always start with skin prep. I mean, keeping your skin hydrated and youthful-looking is the best foundation for any makeup,” she said. Crawford added: “So, of course, I start with my own line, Meaningful Beauty. I’m obsessed with our Youth Activating Melon Serum.”
She also noted that she uses this “morning and night under my moisturizer during the day and under my night cream.” For her second skincare step, the Vogue cover girl noted: “During the day, I always want to protect my skin, not only from the sun but also from other environmental stressors, so I love our day cream, which has SPF. This is one of my absolute go-to products.” After putting her “base on,” Crawford then gets into her makeup routine, as seen above.
In 2022, Crawford chatted with Haute Living, noting that it’s not her goal to look completely “ageless,” but rather, to emphasize her best features while also embracing fine lines, wrinkles and other natural effects of healthy aging. “I know all the ways that I’ve aged,” Crawford said, adding, “My face has gotten much thinner; my mouth isn’t as full. Being told I’m ageless isn’t right, especially because getting older is hard enough, never mind that we live in a youth-obsessed culture.”
She added that the “things I’m trying to make Meaningful Beauty [her beauty line] about for other women are the things that I have to remind myself about, too.” Crawford proudly went on, “I’m not 25, so why should I be trying to look 25? Why do I want someone to mistake me for a 25-year-old? I’ve had children. I have all this life experience.”
Crawford also recalled feeling the pressure to remain looking young at the beginning of her career, and how she realized that promoting graceful aging helped her not only feel more confident in recent years, but also to bond with and inspire other women. “When I started modeling, I said, ‘What am I going to do after I turn 25?’ There wasn’t someone who had a career like me before that I could follow or look up to,” she remembered.
“And then, all of a sudden, I was still modeling at 26, 27, 30, 35, 40, and now, 56. There was no way I thought I would still be quote unquote ‘modeling’ to this day. And even though I’m not in front of the camera nearly as much as I used to be — nor do I want to be — any time I get my picture taken, even if it’s just on an iPhone, I’m striking a pose. You can’t unlearn that.”
Crawford added, “So I’ve learned to embrace the different stages. I’m not 56 trying to do the same jobs that I did when I was 25 and 30. I’ve evolved, and the businesses that I have have evolved, too. I think that’s why I’ve had such career longevity, and why my audience will follow me — because it feels authentic and it is authentic.”
