In a recent interview with 60 Minutes, Pink opened up about her sold-out 2023 concerts and her ongoing feeling of being an “underdog” despite a highly successful career spanning 25 years. In another moving segment of the show, the 44-year-old Grammy winner performed a soul-stirring rendition of Bob Dylan‘s “Make You Feel My Love,” which brought tears to fans’ eyes and resonated with viewers online.

Pink also shared how she turned to this song as a source of comfort during the lockdown in 2020, making it a part of her daily routine. Since this moment went viral, other live concert clips of Pink performing the song have emerged, with many fans on X (formerly Twitter) sharing that her powerhouse vocals and piano playing made them “cry,” “get goosebumps” and ultimately, “touched” them.

Pink Moves Fans With Her Cover Of Bob Dylan’s ‘Make You Feel My Love’

On 60 Minutes, Pink quickly sang a few verses from Dylan’s beloved 1997 track, showing interviewer Cecilia Vega how she learned to play the chords on piano to accompany her vocals. As seen in a YouTube comment section, this brief moment was enough to stir up emotions from fans, thanks to Pink’s “incredible voice” and range and vibrato. “So talented and determined,” one commented as another added: “Just an incredible human. That voice.”

On X, many fans also began digging up concert clips of Pink covering the song live on stage during her post-2020 concerts. This included videos of her 2023 concerts in Vienna, Austria and Toronto, Canada for her long-awaited, worldwide Summer Carnival Tour and other shows from this summer.

Beneath one upload, a fan wrote: “Loved this song – so beautifully played & sang. She really is amazing @Pink, so talented, so real, so inspiring, so loved.” Another tweeted after watching Pink’s live rendition: “I was crying all the way through this while trying to record as it’s mine and my sons song.”

The ballad, “Make You Feel My Love” was originally recorded and written by Dylan for his album, Time Out of Mind. In 1997, shortly after its release, Billy Joel covered it for his compilation album, Greatest Hits Volume III. In 2008, Adele famously made the song her own, too, by covering it for her record, 19.

Many who have listened to Pink’s latest version are now claiming it to be their “new favorite,” as they cannot forget the striking combination of her powerful voice and delicate piano playing. Later on during her 60 Minutes interview, Pink was asked about her candid vibe, heartfelt songs, her eagerness to be open with her fans, and where it stems from.

"Do I have this right?  You're willing to talk about anything. Any question is fine. There's no offense taken," interviewer Vega asked the "Who Knew" singer. "Yeah, it's all– I'm-- I'm open to all of it," she replied. Vega followed up: "A lot of people in your world, thrive on protecting privacy. You're an open book. Why?"

Pink then said: "I guess I look at it in a very specific way. If I'm a mystery to you, how can I expect you to connect with me? And if I'm a person that's desperate for connection, then why would mystery be interesting to me? I wanna know you. I want you to know me."

Vega highlighted that Pink's performances shattered attendance records at stadiums across the globe, generating over $350 million in ticket sales. Admirers on social media have cited Pink's "relatable" persona and "genuine openness" as qualities that resonate with them, in addition to her awe-inspiring vocal range and her uncanny ability to transform any song into her own distinct style!
