To the surprise of many fans this week, Ryan Reynolds unveiled the name of his fourth child, born in February 2023, whom he shares with his wife, Blake Lively. This revelation came during the Deadpool & Wolverine red carpet premiere in New York City.

The Free Guy actor, 47, took a moment to express his gratitude for the unwavering support of his family. Reynolds began with a heartfelt thank you to his wife, Lively, 36, who was present at the event, and proceeded to give a special mention to each of their four children.

Ryan Reynolds Reveals The Name Of His Youngest Child With Blake Lively For The First Time

After thanking the Gossip Girl actress for attending, Reynolds then said: "I want to thank my kids, James, Inez, Betty and Olin, who are here. I hope that, if I’m lucky, this moment will be the most traumatic thing, that is, the contents of this movie, that happens in your wondrous life.

The Proposal alum went on: "I love that my entire family is here."

Olin's Sex Has Yet To Be Revealed (But Many Fans Think It's A Baby Boy's Name)

Olin is a charming Nordic name that translates to "ancestor's heir" or "to inherit," as reported by Hello. While it's often pegged as a boy's name by many baby name sites, fans and social media enthusiasts, it carries an air of mystery and versatility.

Though Reynolds and Lively's 17-month-old's gender remains a secret, it's not surprising considering their penchant for gender-neutral names—after all, they named their 9-year-old eldest daughter, James.

The Green Lantern co-stars and power couple (who tied the knot in 2012) also share two other daughters; Inez, 7, and Betty, 4.

Shortly after welcoming Olin to the world last year, Reynolds opened up about having a big family with Lively at the CNBC Power Lunch event. "Look, we wouldn't do this four times if we didn't love it," he said. The Adam Project star went on: "Everybody's doing great. Everybody's actually doing fantastic."

In a newer interview with E! News this year, Reynolds dished, regarding having children: "The more the merrier." He added: "As many as possible. As many little heartbeats as possible, just running around, wrecking stuff in the house. I love it. Let’s have more!"

Over the past few years, Lively has also shed some light on the secret sauce behind her and Reynolds' rock-solid relationship. She mentioned that she thinks their strong connection is largely due to navigating the same career path together.

On Good Morning America in 2017, the Age of Adaline actress noted: "In general, it’s nice to have someone who understands what you’re doing."

She continued: "Especially because our job is so weird – you have to be married to other people, it’s all so strange. It’s never normal, even when you’re both doing it."
