Fans Are Reacting To New Paparazzi-Snapped Photos Of Zac Efron In Italy With Alleged 'Dissolved' Fillers

On June 24th, the outlet shared a photo collection post for its 1.5 million followers, showing the aforementioned snaps of Efron in Italy. Fans headed to the comments section to share their thoughts. "So happy he got his filler dissolved looks so good," one wrote as another added: "right? his face is starting to look better. it was terrible before with all that crap in it. he looked like some blockhead cartoon character." Someone else added: "looks human again."

The buzz about the Baywatch star's facial changes originally kicked off in April 2021 after his appearance in Bill Nye’s “Earth Day Musical” special on Facebook Watch, sparking rumors about potential plastic surgery.

In a candid interview with Entertainment Tonight in September 2022, Efron dismissed the speculation as "funny" and clarified that his altered appearance was the result of a jaw injury he sustained in 2013, not surgery. "My mom told me. I never really read the internet, so, I don’t really care," the Greatest Showman alum explained.

Efron also shared with Men's Health in September 2020 that he undergoes physical therapy to manage the injury but had paused his treatment for a period, which led to some facial complications. Efron elaborated that the muscles in his face operate "like a symphony," and the masseter muscles, which are involved in chewing, had to overwork to compensate for the weakened other facial muscles.

During his stay in Australia from 2020 to 2021, Efron hit the pause button on his physical therapy regimen. It was around this period that he appeared in the video for Nye’s "Earth Day Musical" special on Facebook Watch, where fans couldn't help but notice that his chin looked different. "The masseters just grew," he dished to Men's Health.

He went on: "They just got really, really big." Efron also revealed to the publication that he had no idea about the buzz surrounding his jawline until his mother called, asking if he had plastic surgery. Addressing the cosmetic surgery and filler rumors, the Emmy winner noted: "If I valued what other people thought of me to the extent that they may think I do, I definitely wouldn’t be able to do this work."

Efron’s newest venture, the romantic comedy A Family Affair, premiered on Netflix on June 28th. In this film, Efron takes on the role of Chris Cole, a narcissistic Hollywood actor embroiled in a clandestine love affair with Brooke Harwood, a widow portrayed by Nicole Kidman. The twist? Their secret romance comes to light when Brooke’s daughter, Zara, played by Joey King, stumbles upon the truth.

On June 13th, the Egyptian Theatre in Los Angeles was abuzz with excitement as Efron, Kidman, 57, and Joey King, 24, graced the premiere of their new movie. Efron turned heads in a sleek gray suit paired with a tailored black shirt and matching dress shoes. Fans couldn't stop gushing over his "healthy" and "handsome" appearance, with many continuing to speculate that he had "dissolved" his rumored facial fillers.
