Carrie Underwood was an unstoppable force at the Carolina Country Music Fest, even after a small stage mishap threatened to rain on her parade. As the headlining performer at the festival in Myrtle Beach on Sunday, June 9th, the Grammy winner, 41, wowed audiences despite some unexpected obstacles.

According to the American Idol alum, the ending of her set was “quite unexpected,” but that didn’t stop her from putting on a fantastic show. Video footage captured by TMZ shows the “Denim & Rhinestones singer taking a slight tumble while descending some stairs, causing some fans to shout in surprise. Since her fall, many have taken to social media to share their “prayers” for Underwood and wish her a fast recovery from any injuries she may have experienced in the moment.

Despite this momentary setback and the onset of a heavy downpour, Underwood refused to let anything dampen her spirits. In fact, she took to Instagram to share a video of her belting out tunes in the pouring rain before her fall, captioned with the words: “We won’t let a little rain stop us! We won’t let a massive downpour stop us, either!”

In an additional post for her 13.2 million IG followers, the “Before He Cheats” hitmaker wrote: “Well, last night sure was fun! And though the ending was quite unexpected, it made for a night we’ll never forget! Thanks for being awesome, #MyrtleBeach!!!”

Fans React To Carrie Underwood’s Fall During Her Rainy Day Show In South Carolina

On YouTube, TMZ shared a clip of the mom of two‘s fall. Viewers headed to the comments section to share their thoughts. “Accidents happen. My prayers she’s okay,” one wrote as another added: “I just hope you’re all-right Carrie! The important thing is I know you did a great show!” Someone else chimed in: “Accidents happen, one picks themselves up and moves to the next step. Blessings.”

While Underwood has yet to respond to these fan comments, this actually isn’t the first time where a stumble of hers concerned her fanbase. In 2017, while walking down the steps outside of her home in Nashville, Underwood had an unfortunate fall that resulted in a fractured wrist requiring surgical intervention and a number of lacerations on her visage, for which she had to endure over 40 stitches.

One year later, while appearing on the iHeartRadio Bobby Bones Show, the "Blown Away" songstress shared the details of her accident. The country music star recounted how one evening, as she was about to take her furry companions for a leisurely stroll, she lost her footing and took a tumble.

"I was taking the dogs out to go pee one last time, and I just — I tripped," Underwood explained. "There was one step, and I didn’t let go of the leashes! Priorities! So that’s why my left hand’s fine. But I went to catch myself, and I just missed a step."

The musician continued: "If I had fallen anywhere else, I would have been perfectly fine. But it was one step that messed everything up."

During another conversation at the time with Storme Warren on SiriusXM’s The Highway channel, Underwood reflected: "I thought I just busted my lip. Then I walked inside and took the dog leashes off and took my coat off and went to go survey the damage and was like, ‘Oh, no!'"

She went on: "I’m acting very calm about it now, but … it wasn’t pretty. I chipped my tooth, but it was just my skin, thank the Lord. Stitches and all that stuff."

Fans are certainly glad she's recovered since then, and hope she feels better after her more recent on stage mishap!
