Angelina Jolie was recently photographed on the set of the upcoming biopic Maria in Paris, where she portrays the iconic opera singer Maria Callas.
In the paparazzi-snapped pictures, Jolie, 48, was seen in different locations around the French capital city, sporting Callas’ favorite fashion staples like cozy knit sweaters, round shades, and luxurious outerwear.
Since the photos emerged online earlier this month, fans on social media noted that the Oscar winner looked almost “unrecognizable” in her role, perfectly embodying Callas’ style and mannerisms.

The forthcoming movie seeks to chronicle the turbulent life of the legendary vocalist during the 1970s. Jolie's wardrobe, as seen in the shots, accurately reflects the glamorous fashion of Paris during that period.
On X (formerly Twitter) fans have been reacting to the first look snaps of Jolie as Callas. "Wow, angelina jolie as maria callas? This is a match made in heaven! Can't wait to see her performance," one wrote as another added: "HER NEXT OSCAR IS COMING."
Someone else chimed in, tweeting: "i haven't been this excited for a movie in soooo long." One other replied: "Is that really her? Wow what a transformation, incredible acting talent."
At present, the movie directed by Pablo Larraín is still in the initial stages of filming, with a projected release date of 2024.
After winning the coveted role, Jolie said in a statement: "I take very seriously the responsibility to Maria's life and legacy. I will give all I can to meet the challenge."
The mom of six added: "Pablo Larraín is a director I have long admired. To be allowed the chance to tell more of Maria's story with him, and with a script by Steven Knight, is a dream."
