Are you…Ready For It? Fans are convinced that Taylor Swift will drop the long-awaited “Taylor’s Version” rendition of her 2017 album, Reputation, this year. This theory, Swifties believe, sparked from an “Easter egg” outfit detail she wore at the Kansas City Chiefs game in Missouri over the weekend.

While cheering on her beau Travis Kelce, the Grammy winner, 35, sported a stylish black and gold Louis Vuitton jacket paired with a coordinating beanie, yet it was the necklace she wore that captured everyone’s attention. On social media, fans noticed that the Tortured Poets Department artist was sporting a necklace featuring intertwined snakes, which was actually an ancient Greek coin design.

Swifties Speculate Taylor Swift Will Drop 'Reputation (Taylor’s Version)' in 2025

Snakes, as fans know, are a clear symbol of Swift's Reputation era. As one fan wrote on Instagram, soon after seeing Swift's accessory at the game: "Looks like Athena on the [necklace] (Roman Minerva). Goddess of wisdom, war and the crafts. She is a great strategic fighter and gives men courage in war. She’s also associated with birds and snakes."

Someone else tweeted: "do you guys think Taylor Swift is gonna announce reputation Taylor’s version on chinese new year to commemorate the year of the snake." One other shared a similar thought on the platform, writing: "So did nobody notice that it’s the year of the snake and Taylor Swift was born in the year of the snake? I feel like this is the biggest Easter egg to indicate Rep would be released this year and nobody is talking about it lol."

Although some may consider this release date theory unlikely, it holds weight given Swift's precise attention to timing and the hints she drops. For instance, in November 2021, she launched Red (Taylor's Version) just a month before 2022, aligning with her song "22." Additionally, she unveiled Speak Now (Taylor's Version) and 1989 (Taylor's Version) in the same year, coinciding with a Capital One commercial that featured those two eras coming together.

As numerous fans have noted, the Lunar New Year has begun, and 2025 marks the Year of the Snake, which coincides with the same zodiac sign from 1989, the year of Swift's birth. Others on X (formerly Twitter) are suspecting that the "Anti-Hero" hitmaker might announce the anticipated album at the 67th annual Grammy Awards on Sunday, February, 2nd. (Fingers crossed!)
