Justin Timberlake was apparently sober when he was seen with “bloodshot eyes” while performing in Las Vegas, just weeks before his DWI arrest on June 18th.
A recent Instagram post from Page Six featured fan-captured footage of the Grammy winner, 43, looking “scary” and “rough” at his according to fans, which sparked a wave of concern from them about his well-being.
Despite speculations that the “Selfish” singer was under the influence during his Forget Tomorrow World Tour stop at the T-Mobile Arena last month, sources told TMZ this week that he was not. According to these sources, Timberlake’s red-eyed and exhausted look was blown out of proportion by critics who just wanted to mock him. They emphasized that he’s always sober, “focused and clear-headed” for every performance.
User @kev2alks also shared a clip of Timberlake performing in Las Vegas on Instagram and captioned it: “The Eyes Chico….They Never Lie. Is #justintimberlake okay? Listen man I just hope he’s better he’s got a show on my birthday in October and I’m supposed to go..prayers up to him & hope he really does look in the mirror and see the better half of himself in it.”
Beneath the post, another fan commented: “Hopefully he is ok” as one other added: “He’s pushing mid 40’s doing all out performances day-in-day-out. Managing multiple businesses, balancing being a father and a husband.” The fan went on: “He’s a performer at his core and usually leaves nothing on the table when feeling it. We have no idea what the situation is. I hope he’s good. Unless you were there and part of his circle you don’t know what’s going on.”
Last week, the father of two (who shares sons Silas, 9, and Phineas, 4, with wife Jessica Biel) found himself in a bit of a jam. According to a tip-off to People, the “Rock Your Body” hitmaker was driving from the American Hotel to visit a friend when the flashing lights of a police car pulled him over in Sag Harbor, New York.
