Ask most iPhone users what they need most, and what do you imagine many will say?

More storage space, please.

Maybe you find yourself using your phone for so much more than you used to — like making movies or shooting videos for social media accounts. Or you simply want to store more data and are becoming frustrating with the constant pop-ups you’re receiving that are letting you know your space is all (or almost) up. Whatever the reason, more storage space comes at a cost. The best way to limit your expenses is by finding new ways to free up the storage you already have — hopefully ways that don’t involve having to delete photos and videos that you cherish. Tech experts say this is the fastest way to free up space on your iPhone — we’re trying this immediately.

Hack 1: Reach for the Clouds!

When hard drives can’t handle your amount of data, several servers come to the rescue, according to Michael Aphelion, marketing manager at The Spreadsheet Page. “DropBox, Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive or Apple iCloud are just a few options to keep your files in the cloud,” Aphelion says. “If you have a lot of stuff to store, you might have to sign up for a monthly subscription (which is worth it in the end, as they keep your data more securely than you could by yourself for your phone!)”

You can keep your photos in Google Photos for free, unlimited storage, Aphelion adds. And Google Play Music Manager and Amazon Cloud Drive lets you upload your whole music library and stream it. In other words: you have options.

Hack 2: Use a Flash Drive

“You can directly plug some flash drives to your lightning port to boost your phone’s storage,” Aphelion says. “My favorite ones are the $60 Beef iBridge which bends around my iPhone and offers 16 GB storage. Another great one is the SanDisk iExpand which offers a whopping 32 GB for $42.”

Hack 3: Use a Wireless Hard Drive

And, finally, one of the best ways to increase storage to your iPhone are wireless storage device options, Aphelion notes. “Simply keep them in your pocket or purse, connect them to the same Wi-Fi network as your phone and let your iPhone sync,” Aphelion says. “The RAVPower Filehub is a good one that comes for $36.”
