The FDA Recalls Chocolate Brownies After They’ve Been Shipped To 14 States
December 24, 2023 by Julia DeKorte
Chocolate brownies produced by Dianne’s Fine Desserts of Newburyport, Massachusetts have been recalled after an allergy warning was left off the packaging. The retailer voluntarily recalled 2,048 trays—512 cases—across 14 states due to an “inadvertent mislabeling” that left the presence of peanuts in the dessert undeclared.
The FDA announced the recall on Nov. 22nd, and urged customers not to ignore the warning, as an allergic reaction to peanuts can be fatal for some: “People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to peanuts run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products.” Keep reading for more information on what you should do if you have one of these recalled products.
