Drop what you’re doing, because we just found the most bizarre shoe trend in the history of shoe trends. Now, we know that’s a lofty statement but it’s not every day that we see something this wacky, so you know it has to be good–or I mean–bad.

You’re not prepared for this but try to bear with us: fish flops are a thing and they’re just about the weirdest thing we’ve ever seen.

What are fish flops you ask? Well, they’re exactly what they sound like. Flip flops in the shape of a fish. The totally unexpected fish flops are complete with a tale, gills, and beady little eyes. You insert your foot into the middle of the fish and your toes stick out of its open mouth. Sound weird? That’s because it is.

I know what you’re thinking–people can’t actually be wearing these things. However, the influx of customer reviews on Amazon and surprisingly impressive following on Instagram beg to differ.

Maybe your an avid fisherman or looking to turn heads at your next family lake trip. Who are we to judge! Tell us your thoughts–are these fish sandals the next best thing in unexpected fashion, or a total flop?
