Braids are always a go-to summer hairstyle. Not only are they pretty easy to do (once you've practiced, of course), but they also keep your hair out of your face. One of our favorite braids? The fishtail! Believe it or not, this style can be done many different ways. Check out the slideshow for a few of our faves.

If it is really sunny out, pair this look with a floppy hat.

Start with a normal braid and then go into a fishtail braid.

The best part about a fishtail braid? It still looks good when messy.

Turn your fishtail braid into a bun for some added detail.

Or just do a classic side braid.

Take the front pieces of your hair, braid them, and pull them back.

Add a little bump in the front for some added volume.

Start the fishtail braid from the top and take it all the way down the side.

Pull on the strands of the braid to make them looser and have a relaxed look.

Once you put the fishtail into a bun add a side twist too.
