You don’t just get up out of bed and slay on an empty stomach. Some of the most successful people on the planet know all too well the importance of stopping everything in the morning and sitting down to eat a healthy breakfast (or carrying it on the road if they’re pressed for time).
The next time you consider jumping out of bed and straight into your car or the nearest train without giving your body fuel, remember: these insanely successful people eat these four foods every day to prepare for a better day — no excuses.
Beyonce’s Healthy Cereal With Low-Fat Milk
Who has more energy than Beyonce? The mom of three singlehandedly changed Coachella with one incredible performance this year — you simply can’t keep up with her if you don’t eat a good breakfast. Bey never skips breakfast, and sometimes changes it up. She told Shape that she likes to change up her breakfast, but is loyal to certain foods. Best of all: her meals are so simple anyone can whip them up in a hurry (no celebrity chef required):
"I always have breakfast—say, scrambled egg whites, a vegetable smoothie, or whole-grain cereal with low-fat milk,” Beyonce told Shape. For lunch and dinner, I eat a lot of fish and vegetables. And throughout the day, I try to stay hydrated."
Oprah’s Egg & Chai Tea Breakfast
Oprah is the icon of all icons — but you don’t become an icon on an empty stomach. Even though the media mogul has been a spokesperson for Weight Watchers, that doesn’t mean she skimps out when it comes to the first and most important meal of the day. Her breakfast of choice is mostly classic, with a twist when it comes to beverages.
“I do an egg, toast, because I love bread, and maybe an eighth of an avocado. Instead of coffee, chai tea,” Oprah told People.
Payal Kadakia’s Starbuck Order
As the CEO and co-founder of ClassPass, Payal Kadakia is passionate about health and fitness — and is one of the hardest working people around. It doesn’t shock us to learn that her breakfast is packed with antioxidants and vitamins: she eats fruits, takes vitamins and supplements, and grabs a Starbucks Citrus Green Tea on her way to work, according to CNBC.
Richard Branson’s Muesli
As a British investor and the founder of Virgin Airlines, Richard Branson spends more time than most people up in the air and on the road. But he always makes time to eat one of the healthiest breakfasts imaginable, reports CNBC: muesli (a type of rolled oat), which he enjoys with a fresh fruit salad and dried fruits or nuts.
