As someone who has worked in fashion her entire life, I’ve always been hesitant to try clothing subscription boxes. I usually have my finger on the pulse of what trends and styles tailor to my personal taste so I’ve never delved into the idea of a box that someone else selects for me. That’s why I ended up LOVING Frank And Oak’s clothing subscription.
Frank And Oak is a sustainable clothing brand for both men and women that is designed in Canada. The Style Plan is their offering of a monthly subscription box that allows you to take a style quiz, choose a cost preference and then has in house stylists choose some items that are symbiotic with your style. The Style Plan offers free shipping and up to 20% off on the items you select to purchase. Each box has a $25 styling fee that is only applied if you return all the items in your box. And believe me, you’re going to want to keep this stuff! Signing up was as simple as 1-2-3-4 with super simple steps.
Step 1: Choose Men or Women. I chose women for myself but this could be a great gift for any boyfriends or husbands out there.
Step 2: Describe Your Style (Casual, Classic or Creative!) I personally chose creative as I tend to veer towards more stylish items as opposed to classics.
Step 3: Confirm Your Sizes. At first I was stressed choosing my sizes as sizing is different for all different pieces of clothing. However, you can switch sizing OR return the items for a different size at no cost to you so you can take those worries off the table.
Step 4: Choose A Box Budget (This is less than $150 or over $150) For the sake of testing, I did over $150 to see what items the stylist would come up with in respect to different pricing.
Once you enter your information, the in house stylists get to work suggesting and choosing items for your box in under 24 hours. Once you get an e-mail that your box is ready, you have time to view the items before it ships. The absolute best part of this subscription box is you can CHANGE ANYTHING. I wasn’t obsessed with the black t-shirt dress or purple shirt the stylist had selected for me. Instead of being stuck with those items and returning them, I switched those out for a denim shirtdress and jacket and couldn’t be happier with my selections.
Most style boxes just have you return the items you don’t like whereas Frank And Oak allows you to manually switch items out in lieu of the pieces you dislike. If you’re a picky dresser like me, this is life-changing. They have amazing basics and simply pretty clothing that works great for wearing to work or out casually. I really love this box because I can see tons of my friends and family members actually wearing these quality basics. They’re not overly trendy or fashion-forward so they’re easy to incorporate into your wardrobe. If you’re looking to fill your closet with staples that can be dressed up or down, then this subscription box is for you.
