Garth Brooks Posts A Sweet Tribute To Trisha Yearwood On Instagram

The country music star shared a stunning black and white picture of his fellow country music star wife striking a fierce pose in a black dress, fishnet tights, and high heels on Instagram, alongside the caption: “Happy Birthday, Trisha!!! You look better than ever, you ARE better than ever and I love you MORE than ever…love, me.”

The image was also posted on Trisha’s own Instagram account, where her followers filled the comments section with love and birthday wishes. “Happy birthday to one of the most beautiful and talented women in the world,” wrote one fan, as a second gushed: “Happy Birthday to my very favorite country singer! You are everything good, wholesome, beautiful, funny, kind, loving – a real woman’s role model.”

“Gorgeous inside & out,” raved a third fan, as a fourth concurred, writing: “Gorgeous pic.” “What an awesome picture. You rock that dress!” exclaimed another, adding: “Happy Birthday, I hope your day is amazing.”

Trisha Yearwood Started To Take Her Weight Loss Journey Seriously In 2013

As the "If Tomorrow Never Comes" singer said in his birthday tribute, the "Georgia Rain" singer does indeed look better than ever following her 30-lb weight loss, which she has spoken about on several occasions over the years.

The "She's in Love with the Boy" singer told Good Housekeeping back in 2013 that she went from a size 14 to a size 10 by finally stopping the fad diets and starting to eat sensibly. She said she became "hardcore and boring" and started eating fruits, vegetables, and lean protein, and also avoiding "white food" such as sugar, pasta, and white bread.

"I realized I was tired of losing the same few pounds, tired of complaining about it," she said at the time. "I felt, 'Just do it, or shut up about it.' I made it simple [and very low-calorie], because I knew I wouldn't stay on it unless I saw results fast."

"I've been blessed to live a lot of dreams, but finally looking the way I want, feeling better than I ever knew I could, and wearing a tucked-in shirt with a black leather skirt — that is way, way up there," Yearwood added.

In 2021, she went into more detail about how she maintains her weight, telling Parade that she follows an 80/20 eating plan. This means that she nourishes her body with "healthy" foods 80% of the time, and treats herself with her favorite indulgences for the other 20%.

"Sometimes I do great; sometimes I don't. I have the blessing and curse of being a pretty good cook, so I can make all the decadent things," she said, adding: "But I also challenge myself to make the healthier things taste good. I love to roast a huge pan of root vegetables. Butternut squash, sweet potatoes, Brussels sprouts, carrots."

Yearwood also told fans at the time: "The more you roast a vegetable, the sweeter and more caramelized it gets. I make a big pot of rice or risotto to go with that. That's comfort food for us and will last a while." We love this tip!
