George Clooney is famous for being a silver fox—but what is a silver fox without his signature silver locks? The actor, 63, is fully committing to his leading role in his upcoming Broadway play, Good Night, and Good Luck, dying his normally silver hair a noticeable shade of brown. While fans have only gotten glimpses of Clooney with his new style, so far, the reviews aren’t great. Keep reading for more information.

George Clooney Dyes His Hair Brown For Broadway

George Clooney, whose acting career spans decades, is officially making his Broadway debut with Good Night, and Good Luck, reprising his role from the 2005 film of the same name that he wrote, directed, and started in. Edward R. Murrow, unlike the present day Clooney, doesn't have a gray hair to be found.

While the play hasn't hit Broadway stages just yet, the actor has been living in New York City as the cast continues to rehearse, and while most of the time he covers up his darker hair in public with a hat, eagle-eyed fans have spotted the change and are already sharing their opinions.

Fans Prefer The Silver Fox

Taking to X, formerly Twitter, to share paparazzi photos, fans of Clooney have been giving their two cents on which hair color looks the best—and pretty much everyone is leaning towards gray. "He looks ridiculous," one person tweeted.

"That's a bad look on him," another person agreed.

"It just feels weird seeing George Clooney with brown hair," another user added.

"I know it's just for a role but George Clooney giving up his silver fox locks is devastating," another fan said.
