Although Gigi Hadid is often in the spotlight for her stunning looks and impeccable style, she keeps the details of her life—specifically regarding her baby, who she shares with ex-partner Zayn Malik—private from her fans (for the most part).
She’s kept her family life so quiet, in fact, that we didn’t know her daughter’s name (Khai—so cute!) until four months after she was born.
In 2021, Hadid asked press and fans to respect the privacy of her little girl. “You know we have never intentionally shared our daughter’s face to social media,” the star said. “Our wish is that she can choose how to share herself with the world when she comes of age, and that she can live as normal of a childhood as possible, without worrying about a public image that she has not chosen.”
However, fans are lucky enough to catch a glimpse of Hadid’s adorable baby girl from time to time, when the model posts rare sweet mother-daughter moments on Instagram. Although her child’s face is usually hidden in the photos, we’re sure she’s just as adorable as her parents were at that age.

Gigi took to her Instagram stories on Sunday, June 19th to honor her father, or “baba,” Mohamed Hadid as well as “Khai’s baba,” aka, ex Zayn Malik.
The series of photos has since been re-posted by Gigi Hadid fan accounts (who have been hoping for a reunion of the pair). In the sweet tribute in honor of the holiday, the supermodel shared a picture of her former partner playing on the floor with their 1-year-old daughter Khai Hadid Malik. Adorable!
Seemingly burying the hatchet from the couple’s contentious October 2021 split, Gigi wished her ex a Happy Father’s Day on the social media platform. Or for anyone hoping they’ll get back together, we’re calling it baby steps!
Most recently, Hadid's Instagram followers were able to get a peek of Khai on the model's story, which was posted honor of Donatella Versace's birthday.
Hadid posted a photograph of the iconic fashion designer bending down to speak to Khai, who is sporting an adorable all-pink outfit (so stylish!). We love the bond the designer seems to have made with Hadid's daughter! As usual, the child's face is not quite visible—but we can tell she's adorable!
"Happy birthday to my Taurus queen," Hadid wrote in the first slide honoring Versace. "Wishing you the best this year."
In the photo of Khai and the designer, Hadid typed, "And the most iconic auntie. We love you saw much." Aw! So Sweet!
Here's another photo Hadid posted to Instagram when Khai was still teeny tiny. "She burps sunshine," the pic is captioned. It's fair to say the model is completely in love with her new role as a mom!
And no surprise, her baby was dressed in a simple and stylish outfit (courtesy of her famously fashionable fam), wearing a white top, leggings, and mustard colored socks.
To be fair, you still can't really see Gigi's new baby in this picture, but it's the one of the clearest photos we've seen of this cutie so far.
Gigi and Zayn also posted a celebratory Halloween photo with their daughter, who was adorably dressed like the Hulk, but they purposefully put something in front of her face.
Gigi and Zayn also shared photos of their baby when she was first born, though all you can really see in them is her tiny hand.
Based on the few photos we've seen though, it's fair to say that their daughter has already grown a ton. Maybe one day she'll be tall enough to model like her mom and aunt!
Considering there's only a few photos of Gigi's baby out there, and none that actually show anything identifiable, it definitely seems like Gigi and Zayn have agreed to keep their daughter's appearance private (for now at least).
It's a pretty popular move in Hollywood, where A-listers often opt to keep their kids out of the spotlight.
Although we're still waiting to see exactly what their baby looks like, we're sure she's a cutie. And we're excited for Gigi to keep sharing more pictures as Khai grows up.
Gigi Hadid Shares Photos Of Her Daughter Khai On Their Beach Vacay
It looks like Hadid needed a little break after her brief affair with actor Leonardo DiCaprio, 48, so she went on a beach vacation with her daughter. She gave her fans yet another glimpse of her baby girl on their getaway. Sharing beachfront photos on Instagram Friday, Jan. 20, the model-turned-mom, 27, captioned the post and said that she "celebrated the new year w a lil r&r," with a seashell emoji.
The first photo shows Hadid on her knees in the sand in a berry-colored bikini and colorful board shorts, after writing, "Mommy [loves] Khai" with a heart emoji in the sand. The next photo is a close-up black-and-white photo from behind, which shows Hadid with her 2-year-old daughter on her shoulders. The third photo shows Hadid smiling on the beach, walking toward her toddler, whose arm can be seen at the edge of the shot.
The comments were full of love for Hadid and her daughter. Her father, Mohamed Hadid, 74, commented, "Cutest girls." The model's fans wrote, "So damn precious you're a good momma," with a heart emoji, and one fan pointed out, "omg [Khai] is getting so big!" Another fan wrote, "Best way to spend the new year!"
In a 2022 interview with Sunday Today, Hadid shared that Khai has been busy hitting childhood milestones. "I think she's a genius," she said in the interview. "But I think that's what everyone says about their kid. It's so much fun. The more that she talks, and understands, and remembers, it just gets more and more fun. And she's a blessing. She's so mobile, from so early in the morning. So mobile. Jumping off things. Very brave, which is great, but you know." Hadid also added that she and her two-year-old daughter were "practicing doing dangerous things carefully." We totally understand her approach to privacy when it comes to her daughter!
