Zendaya wasn’t the only style maven who wowed on the red carpet for the NMACC Gala in Mumbai on April 1st, as Gigi Hadid also turned heads with her dazzling custom Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla ensemble covered in tassels, crystals, sequins and gold zardozi borders, which according to the designer’s Instagram, was inspired by the Kamasutra!

The 27-year-old catwalk model's hand-embellished outfit for the highly-glamorous star-studded event consisted of a South Indian temple jewelry cropped-sleeve jacket blouse embellished with gold beaded tassels, crystals and sequins, an ivory and gold-trimmed chikankari skirt and chikankari sari drape.
The brand's Instagram said it was "exquisitely hand-embroidered by female artisans at Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla atelier in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh," and according to Gigi's Instagram, took a whole year to make! Wow! We don’t doubt that for a moment! After looking at the pure intricacy, this isn’t surprising at all, and we think every single second was well spent because the results are breathtaking!

The Guest in Residence founder finished off her look, which was styled by Elizabeth Sulcer and draped by Dolly Jain, with Aquazzura 'Tiara' heels. For jewelry, she went for stacked gold bangles and statement stud earrings, which were very visible thanks to Gigi's non-distracting low bun, which had the ends flicked out to make it a little more modern and edgy. For makeup, which was done by Patrick Ta, she went for a barely-there look, which although looked minimal, didn’t stop her from glowing on the red carpet!

Gigi posted a video of her red carpet appearance on her Instagram account on April 3rd, and if possible, the outfit looked even more spectacular thanks to the movement! Gigi captioned the post: "The @nmacc.india Gala was a celebration of Indian craftsmanship, and its inspiration on fashion internationally, with the opening of the exhibit 'India in Fashion: The Impact of Indian Dress and Textiles on the Fashionable Imagination,' curated by the iconic @hamishbowles!"
"It was my honor and joy to showcase this masterpiece designed by @abujanisandeepkhosls," she continued, before telling fans even more details about where and how her outfit, which she very aptly described as a masterpiece, was made. "This Chikankari sari was made in the Lucknow region of India, and took a year to make; each woman who crafted it specializes in a different stitch truly remarkable workmanship. I’ll never forget it." And neither will we!
