Gigi Hadid is a supermodel extraordinaire. She has graced the cover of numerous high-end magazines, commanded attention on the runways, killed it on the red carpet, hosted a Netflix show, and even founded her own businesses.
The supermodel has been featured in Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue three times. She made her iconic debut with the magazine in 2014 on the Jersey Shore with photographer Ben Watts. She returned the following two years for features in Hawaii, in 2015, and in Tahiti, in 2016, both with photographer Yu Tsai. We particularly love Gigi’s swimsuits from the Tahiti photoshoots!
Gigi Hadid Stuns In A 'Sports Illustrated' Magazine Cover
The 28-year-old model flaunted her insane figure and showed a lot of skin in some seriously breath-taking swimsuits for the 2016 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. (The most recent SI covers feature Megan Fox and Martha Stewart in equally plunging swimsuits!).
In the tantalizing photoshoot, Gigi is first seen sporting a high-cut white monokini that she paired with a gold body chain while posing in shallow waters off the coast of Tahiti. Another photo shows the model wearing a bright pink bikini top and low-rise bottoms while leaning back against a hammock. She accessorized with a gold necklace with a "G" pendant, a matching gold lariat necklace, and a purple flower in her hair.
Gigi can also be seen posing in a neon green and blue knitted bikini with a gold belly chain, floating in the ocean in a peachy thongkini, modeling a bright yellow bustier bikini, and lounging on the beach in a see-through one piece. Check out all the other show-stopping swimsuits Gigi wore for the magazine here.
Today, the supermodel is still killing it on the runway and on magazine covers. And, she also co-hosts the Netflix reality show Next in Fashion and serves as founder and creative director of knitwear brand Guest in Residence, which focuses on 100% cashmere clothing. When Gigi launched the brand back in September 2022, she told Elle the idea behind Guest in Residence was inspired by her experience as a mom.
"Being a mom, you start to think about what the trends and style might be as your child grows up, and what I hope to pass down to her. With that in mind, I think my intention with Guest in Residence is to be able to create pieces that are fun in their colorways but classic enough that they can transcend many generations and can be passed down," she explained.
Gigi continued, "From me to my daughter, or me to my mom, or me to a friend of mine—it doesn't really matter the age or the sex of the person, these are pieces, especially in the core collection, that can really take on anyone’s personal style." The supermodel had her daughter with One Direction-member Zayn Malik. And now, Gigi is reportedly in an open relationship with Leonardo DiCaprio.
"She has already given me so much," Gigi also told PEOPLE about her baby girl, Khai. "I always wanted to be a mom, but I was never obsessive about it or [thought that] I was put on this earth to be a mom."
