Tom Brady won his seventh Super Bowl last month. The huge victory led to its fair share of celebrations. However, amid all of the congratulations, Brady’s wife, Gisele Bündchen, had one question for the quarterback: “What else do you have to prove?”
Keep reading for more details.
During a recent interview with James Corden on The Late Late Show, Brady recalled his latest Super Bowl victory, specifically the moments right after winning the big game.
He told Corden, "It’s a big moment, obviously, and a culmination of a lot of months of everyone working hard. I’m looking for my family and I see my oldest son run over to me, I give him a big hug. I saw my two little ones. Then, all of a sudden, I saw my wife, and I gave her a big hug and just as I did it, she says, 'What else do you have to prove?'"
Like many fans, it seems that Gisele is wondering whether Tom will be planning on retiring anytime soon. At 43 years old, Brady spent 20 years of his football career with the New England Patriots before joining the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last year. In that time, he has won seven Super Bowls.
However, in answer to Gisele's question, it seems that Brady still has more to prove.
Brady told Corden that he avoided his wife's question by changing subjects quickly (which was probably pretty easy considering the celebrations surrounding them).
"I just gave her a big hug," he said. "I was trying to figure out a way to change the subject really quick. I think I moved onto something else really quickly."
Although Gisele might be looking forward to her husband's retirement (and spending more time with him), that does not mean that she's anything but supportive of his football career.
Brady added, "She’s the best supporter, she’s been amazing."
