Gisele Bündchen may seemingly be living her best life at the moment. She has a brand new cookbook that’s just launched, a new relationship following her divorce from Tom Brady, and she’s constantly looking happy and glowing when she is papped on walks. So with that in mind, fans were a little taken aback when she posted a very cryptic message on Instagram about “pains” and “traumas” on Monday, April 1st.
The 43-year-old supermodel – who soft launched her relationship with Jiu-Jitsu instructor Joaquim Valente just a few days prior – shared a quote by Brazilian writer Wandy Luz to her Instagram Story, which hinted that perhaps everything isn’t as rosy as it appears.
Gisele Shares Cryptic Quote On Instagram
'You look at a person and can't imagine the story they carry — the pains, traumas, fears," the quote began. "Just as we can't even imagine how strong, capable, and resilient someone is, behind smiles and glances are achievements and victories; there are people and moments they overcome and dreams and desires to be achieved."
The quote ended: "There's so much you'll never know. So, be kind whenever you can." We wonder if the former Victoria's Secret Angel is feeling low because of the constant cheating allegations she is facing, hence asking fans and critics alike to "be kind."
If you'll recall, Gisele has been accused of starting her romance with Valente while she and the former NFL star were still married. Although she shut down the allegations in a March 23rd interview with the New York Times, she could still be feeling the effects of the accusations.
Gisele Bündchen Breaks Down In Tears In An Interview With Robin Roberts
We know that Gisele isn't afraid to display emotion, as she broke down in tears in a recent interview with Robin Roberts. To begin the ABC segment, titled Impact x Nightline: Gisele Bündchen: Climbing the Mountain, Roberts simply asked, "How are you?" after bringing up how the supermodel once referred to her divorce as the "death of a dream." Clearly, this triggered something in Gisele, and she immediately began to tear up.
She began to answer, saying, "Well, when you say..." before trailing off and turning away from the camera, blocking her face from view as she seemingly started to cry. "Sorry, guys. I don't know," she said after a moment. "Can I have a little moment?" Roberts took the cue to change the subject, and asked about co-parenting their two children, Benjamin, 14, and Vivian, 11.
"I think there's easier days than others, and I can only control what I do," she said. Seems like their amicable divorce isn't as amicable these days! Later on, Roberts asked Gisele about her love life: "[Would you] be able to open up your heart again to someone?" she asked.
And with a shy smile, Gisele responded, "Where my heart is now is where I am right now. I'm living my truth, and I'm not apologizing for it." Though she made no mention of her Brazilian boyfriend, Joaquim Valente, many fans were quick to assume this comment was about him, as the pair have faced some heat recently.
Gisele Catches Heat From Fans After Cheating Accusations
Gisele and Joaquim met when Gisele signed her children up for classes at Valente Brothers Academy in 2021. Though at first it was just the kids taking classes, Gisele soon became intrigued. "Initially, I wasn't even considering it for myself," she said, according to the Valente Brothers website.
"But when I brought [my son] to the first class and started talking to Joaquim," she continued, "I realized that it was much more than self-defense. It felt very much in line with what I believe in and look for in my life, and how I have a path to develop and become the best version of myself."
Soon, that developed into a romantic relationship. A source told People, "They started out as friends. Their friendship turned romantic after the divorce." Another source revealed that, "They have been dating since June [2022]." Reportedly, "They're taking it slow. They started out as great friends first. She's very private about this and wanted to keep it quiet while they got to know each other."
But Tom Brady's close friends and fans think otherwise. One source reportedly said, "They should add 2021 after June. Then the headline would be accurate." And Brady's fans agree. "Dude, she was hooking up with him while married to Brady," one user wrote on X, formerly Twitter, after the lovebirds were spotted on Valentine's Day. "I hope everyone who blamed Brady admit they were wrong."
