Gisele Bündchen is one of the world’s most successful supermodels, and it’s not just her looks and height that set her apart. She’s a wellness enthusiast who ensures her body and mind are always in top condition.
Last year, she partnered with herbal supplement brand Gaia Herbs as a wellness ambassador and then released her very own cookbook, Nourish.
The mother of two has frequently discussed her diet and wellness routine, recently revealing the types of foods she never consumes. It turns out she never eats white sugar, McDonald’s, shelf-stable cupcakes, or candy.

Gisele Bündchen Says White Sugar Is ‘Poison’
“To me, white sugar means poison. There’s so many other ways you can sweeten your things that are delicious,” the former Victoria’s Secret Angel said to The Wall Street Journal back in March.
So, what natural sweeteners does she use instead of white sugar? “Honey, maple syrup, dates,” said the 43-year-old.
She adds in her Nourish book, “No McDonald’s or shelf-stable cupcakes or candy for me. My body is my temple, and my temple is sacred. Eating processed food is not being loving to myself.”

Gisele Bündchen Discusses Her Positive Changes After Leading An Unhealthy Lifestyle In The Past
The Brazilian native wasn’t always this health-conscious. She opened up about her past modeling days in her teens and early 20s, when her mornings began with cigarettes and coffee. This fast-paced, unhealthy lifestyle eventually took its toll, as she revealed to CBS’ Sunday Morning: “I was in tunnels; I couldn’t breathe. And then I started being in studios, and I felt, like, suffocated. I lived on the ninth floor, and I had to go up the stairs because I was afraid I would be stuck on the elevator, and I’d be hyperventilating. Because, you know, when you can’t breathe even when the windows are open, you feel like, ‘I don’t want to live like this.'”
Now, she kicks off her day at 5 a.m. with meditation and a glass of lemon water, followed by a workout. Her meals typically feature eggs, smoothies, greens, various vegetables, and plenty of protein.
Her approach now is to prioritize clean eating and longevity. “For me, the whole thing about food has become, where is it coming from? How is it grown?” she told The WSJ. “I see my body as a temple. I don’t want to feel sluggish after I eat. I don’t want to have a stomachache or be constipated. My whole goal is to live the longest I can living the best life that I can.”
