Good Genes Or Good Docs? Before And After Photos Of Taylor Swift's Face Go Viral As Fans Ask Whether She's Gotten Cosmetic Enhancements: 'Very Natural-Looking'

It’s no secret that Taylor Swift is a natural beauty and equally as stunning both on the red carpet and off. In recent weeks, the Grammy winner, 34, has sparked “Botox and filler” accusations after stepping out at the 2024 MTV VMAs.

Some fans on Instagram are praising the “Cruel Summer” hitmaker for allegedly pursuing “natural-looking” touch-ups over the past two years, but Swift has not acknowledged these comments and theories.

Last fall, some curious users on TikTok sought the opinion of plastic surgeon Dr. Anthony Youn, MD, regarding Swift’s features over the years since her rise to fame in the mid 2000s/ early 2010s.

They were keen to know if he believed she had ever undergone any surgical enhancements.

Youn responded in a TikTok video, explaining that he believed if Swift did go under the knife (this has not been confirmed or denied by her), that her possible procedures were “subtly done, very tasteful, and really, really hard to spot.” So, what did Youn think Swift might have gotten done?

Taylor Swift's Cosmetic Procedures Were 'Tastefully Done,' If Even At All, According To An Expert

Speaking to his followers, Youn acknowledged the persistent plastic surgery rumors from fans surrounding Swift. Regarding the Tortured Poets Department songwriter, Youn said in his video: "She's the biggest recording artist in the world, and people are accusing her of having had plastic surgery."

He then pointed out that some people on TikTok have claimed that Swift got a "brow lift, upper eyelid surgery, rhinoplasty and lip fillers. As for Youn's point of view? He began: "I am not Taylor's doctor and everything I say here in this video is just my opinion as a real board-certified plastic surgeon."

He then pulled up a red carpet shot of the "Anti-Hero" hitmaker when she was 17 years old. He said that he would be paying "close attention to her eyes, nose and chin" while comparing the pic to more recent snaps of her. "These are three areas that people have accused her of going under the knife and changing."

Youn used photos of Swift from when she was 18, 19, 20 and 21, explaining that he believed she looked "naturally beautiful" in these years, and there was "no obvious plastic surgery" done at this point. He said the same thing when looking at photos of her from when she was 22 in 2011.

"Then the age of 23 comes up," he said, when analyzing a photo of Swift from 2012. "She does look a little bit different," Youn said, adding: "her face does look like it's getting a bit leaner and some people have accused her of undergoing a buccal fat pad removal to help narrow and thin her cheeks."

"Now it's possible that she's had this done," he went on, regarding the trendy and celeb-fave procedure. "It's also possible that she just has gotten a little bit leaner and she's getting a little bit older and as we get older, our face does typically lean out a bit."

When Swift was 24, Youn said that she continued to show this "leaner appearance, maybe due to surgery, but probably not." At the age of 25, Youn recalled that some fans thought Swift had lip injections done. "I would say it's probably just lip lining, and not necessarily lip injections," Youn stressed.

He remembered that the "Bejeweled" songwriter "disappeared from public view for the entire year of 2017." This, he said, was when "some people believed she may have undergone a nose job." In 2018, Youn said some experts believed Swift's nose looked "a little more refined, a little bit shorter and a little smaller."

"Yeah, it's possible," Youn said. He continued: "If that nose job was done, it was very, very subtle." If Youn "had to make a guess," he said she "probably did not have a nose job."

Youn emphasized that he's done "nose jobs for 10 years," and can "call a lot of fake noses" but with hers, "it's not obvious."
