Could there be trouble in paradise for Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton? If we are to believe some of the most recent reports, the couple – who got married in a lavish ceremony at Shelton’s Oklahoma ranch in July 2021 – are facing divorce rumors, as they seem to be living very separate lives right now.
This was particularly evident when the “God’s Country” musician was pictured seemingly having a great time with his friends earlier this month (the pictures were even shared on social media, so he wasn’t trying to hide it!) while the Voice coach was at home taking pictures of beauty products and posting them on her Instagram Story.
The "Who Are You When I'm Not Looking" singer, 47, shared some pictures of himself having fun on Barmageddon, the show based on bar games, which included posing with reality TV star Nikki Glaser, 39, and fellow Barmageddon host Nikki Garcia, 49. Carson Daly, 50, and competitor Al Madrigal, 52, also made an appearance in the pictures.
Shelton's partying is particularly interesting, as he recently told Entertainment Tonight that his New Year's resolution was to "either cut back or stop drinking altogether." He said: "I haven't managed to stop drinking yet. That's been, you know, even cutting back has been hard."
While this was going on, Stefani, 54, seemed to be having a quiet self care day at home and showed her 17.5M Instagram followers a variety of haircare and skincare products from different brands, including The Outset, JVN, Starface, and Nez.
Blake Shelton Was Reportedly 'Disappointed' Gwen Stefani Chose To Spend NYE Without Him
There seems to be additional tension between the couple following New Year's Eve, as they spent it miles apart from each other. The country singer was performing at New Year's Eve Live: Nashville's Big Bash on CBS, while the "Hollaback Girl" singer was performing in Las Vegas – something which seemed to come about at the last minute!
Speaking about her decision to spend NYE in Sin City away from her husband, the blonde beauty told Access Hollywood at the time: "Well, it's funny because I was going to be at his show, and then Vegas called and wanted me to be in Vegas. If you're gonna be working then I'm gonna be working. So, I'm just gonna fly in and out, it's gonna be awesome."
The A-list couple don't appear to be struggling to put food on the table, which is why several insiders have suggested that the ageless "Rich Girl" singer didn't really *need* the Las Vegas gig on New Year's Eve. One insider reportedly told Life & Style that Shelton was very "really upset" and "disappointed" with her decision to perform, as it meant that they couldn't start the new year in each other's presence.
"Gwen and Blake are leading separate lives. It's very sad, but the writing seems to be on the wall for their marriage," the insider said, adding: "Gwen and Blake's marriage is definitely in trouble."
"Lately, they've been at odds about everything from career decisions and the parenting of her three boys to where they spend most of their time," they continued. "The tension continues to grow, and Blake and Gwen are drifting apart as a result."
