Akin to Kim Kardashian and a whole host of other A-listers, Gwen Stefani is prone to using filters in her Instagram pictures. But as Kim and the other celebs know, the real world doesn’t have filters, and nothing can stop paps or even fans from taking filter-less pictures, which means sooner or later, their real faces and real skin textures are exposed for all to see!
And that’s exactly what happened to the 53-year-old “Rich Girl” singer at the beginning of the month, as she was papped boarding a private plane with her husband, Blake Shelton, in Los Angeles. And as predicted, there wasn’t a filter in sight when the pictures were published!

In the pictures, Gwen can be seen wearing a super-casual ensemble consisting of an oversized red flannel over a graphic T-shirt, teamed with dark sweatpants and black and white checkered sneakers. Her blonde hair is worn in two cute buns, one behind the other, and she is seen toting a large bag. But of course, it’s her face that got the most attention, as it was seemingly makeup-free (or had very little makeup on) and didn’t have a single filter on it, leaving her wrinkles and real skin texture exposed.
The “Luxurious” singer has some subtle wrinkles around her mouth and cheeks, and a few around her eyes, but all in all, she still looked fab in the natural pap snaps! Upon closer inspection, we think the former Voice coach’s skin looks great, but it just isn’t the smooth and totally airbrushed (and totally unnatural, of course) version we see in her heavily edited pictures on social media. And that’s okay!
Andie MacDowell has seemingly paved the way for other celebs to age gracefully and not be ashamed of natural things like gray hair and wrinkles. And we don’t think Gwen had anything to be ashamed of in the pictures, which is probably why she felt happy to go makeup-free and not cover her eyes with dark, oversized shades like so many other celebs may have done.

Gwen Stefani Shares Makeup-Free Video
On what appears to be the same day as the flight purely based on the fact that she is wearing the same outfit, Gwen shared a video of herself singing while wearing little to no makeup. Although the video *did* seem to have a slight filter on it, her natural beauty did shine through, and didn’t go unnoticed in the comments section.
“I like the muted make-up. Your voice sounds awesome,” one fan praised, while another added, “She looks so beautiful without makeup. She doesn’t need it.” “You are so beautiful with no makeup,” gushed another. “Looking younger & younger Gwen!” exclaimed another, which is a thought her fans have had for quite a while now.
