Gwen Stefani undoubtedly has an incredible physique and is a dynamic performer. But what’s her secret? We’ve gathered insights from the “Hollaback Girl” artist, 55, on how she keeps in shape. Stefani’s routine includes a vegan and organic diet, carb cycling, and regularly drinking tea.

The former Voice coach dished to Harper’s Bazaar, “There is no secret: You just have to eat healthily, work out, and torture yourself!” However, the “Luxurious” singer doesn’t follow a strict diet just to keep her figure. Regarding her diet and fitness regimen, Stefani also told the outlet that it’s all “more for my brain than it is for my body.”

Gwen Stefani Shares Her Secrets To A Toned Physique At 55: A Vegan Diet, Carb Cycling, And Tea Drinking

First and foremost, Stefani credits her largely vegan diet—a regimen that excludes all animal products—as a key factor in her youthful appearance.

The Inquisitr reports that the GXVE Beauty mogul embraced vegetarianism at the age of 12 and gradually transitioned to a more vegan lifestyle as she grew older.

It appears the "Sweet Escape" crooner also follows a diet that is relatively low in carbohydrates. As one insider told Celebrity Health & Fitness, Stefani  "avoids pasta, bread, and rice and drinks lots of water."

Additionally, in a conversation with Shape magazine, Mike Heatlie, who used to be Stefani's personal trainer, recommended adopting a low-carbohydrate diet or alternating between different levels of carb and calorie intake to help burn fat and attain a figure similar to Stefani's.

As Healthline notes, "Carb cycling is a dietary approach in which you alternate carb intake on a daily, weekly or monthly basis."

The mom of three (who shares sons Kingston, 18, Zuma, 16, and Apollo, 10, with her ex Gavin Rossdale) often lists in her hospitality request forms, as reported by Livestrong, "vitamin waters, soy milk, organic vegetables such as beets, carrots, celery and spinach, organic almonds and cashews, and organic fruits, which include plums, melons, and bananas."

In summary, Stefani, who tied the knot with Blake Shelton in 2021, emphasizes balancing her professional and personal life to sustain her happiness, mental well-being, and impressive figure.

As she explained to Marie Claire in 2012, "This last year I kind of stopped working out. I think my body just needed a break. And so I did that, and focused more on feeling good as opposed to beating myself up."
