Fans Say They Are ‘Unfollowing’ Gwyneth Paltrow After She Posts Surprise Video With Meghan Markle On Instagram: ‘Big Mistake’

Meghan Markle recently joined the list of celebrities who have their own lifestyle television show with the debut of With Love, Meghan, joining big names like Pamela Anderson and Gwyneth Paltrow. After some fans of Gwyneth over-analyzed one of her videos and assumed she was throwing shade at Meghan Markle, Paltrow clapped back in a shocking way: by posting a video of the two hanging out! Gwyneth Paltrow Posts A Video Of Meghan Markle
Last week, the Goop founder posted a series of question-and-answer videos on her Instagram story, responding to queries from her followers. One cheeky fan asked, "Are you comprehending the Meghan Markle beef that social media says you two have?"
After reading the question, Paltrow replied, "I genuinely do not understand this," then, out of no where, panned to her right where a casual-looking Meghan Markle was enjoying a bite of pie. "Do you understand this?" Gwyneth asked her guest.
Meghan looked bewildered and dramatically shrugged, suggesting she has no idea what the "Shakespeare in Love" star was talking about. About 15 minutes later, Meghan reposted the clip on her own Instagram story, settling things from both sides.
Fan Reactions
As cheeky as this response may have been, it's had some lasting repercussions for Gwyneth. Though the clip of her and Meghan was posted to her Instagram story, meaning it disappeared after 24 hours, many critics took to the comment section of her recent posts to share their thoughts on her friendship with Markle. "I wonder, if Gwyneth knows about Meghan Markle bullying her staff," one person wrote. "I wonder if she even cares."
"You should choose your alliances more wisely," another person commented. "Unfollowing with a heavy heart."
"Oops... it didn't take long for Gwyneth to fall in line with Meghan Markle," a third added. "You forgot, 'what Meghan wants, Meghan gets'!"
"Go love up on Markle huh. Big mistake," said another.
"Unbelievable," a final user wrote. "What were you thinking while filming this silly reel with Meghan Markle. Are you so out of touch?"
