Recently, she shared a culinary secret from her kitchen: a “super-healthy,” paleo-friendly breakfast that she lovingly prepares for her husband, Brad, on a regular basis. In a YouTube video, Paltrow walks viewers through the steps of creating a flavorful and nutritious dish known as shakshuka.
Shakshuka is a North African and Middle Eastern dish featuring eggs poached in a savory tomato and spice-laden sauce. Paltrow’s recipe incorporates nutritious ingredients like onions, garlic, paprika, cumin, San Marzano tomatoes, and even baby kale for an extra boost of vitamins and minerals—don’t underestimate the power of leafy greens!
The decision to make a paleo-friendly breakfast stems from Paltrow’s husband, Brad, who she says has been following the paleo diet for a year. The paleo diet, also known as the “caveman diet,” emphasizes eating whole foods that were available to our ancestors during the Paleolithic era. This includes lean meats, fish, fruits, vegetables, nuts, and seeds, while excluding processed foods, grains, legumes, and dairy.
