The 48-year-old actress and mother of two admitted to Kimmel, “I mean, what's great is that he is a skateboarder, so he can do a lot of just like solo, outside exercise and work on skills and tricks and stuff like that. But, I think, it's very hard to be 14 and, as all the parents who are watching your show know, it's tough on the ones that are still in kind of like the most intense developmental stages.”
Paltrow noted that even her 16-year-old daughter Apple was having a difficult time, but has a better sense of self than Moses does at 14. She conceded that even though Apple was finding the past year “hard socially,” both of her children were still, “adaptable and agile,” which Paltrow was proud of.
Gwyneth shares her two children with ex-husband Chris Martin, who she still has a strong relationship with as the pair co-parent together. She married Brad Falchuk in 2018, and he has stepped in as another father figure to the kids, as well as being the proud father of two children of his own from a previous marriage.
While the pandemic has been a rough patch spanning far longer than we all would have liked, it seems that people are doing the best they can to adapt to the new circumstances, with Gwyneth Paltrow’s children being no exception. It’s not easy to spend extended time at home, especially during your developmental years, but hopefully there’s a light at the end of the tunnel coming soon.
