Hailey Bieber is setting the record straight regarding her marriage with Justin Bieber and her rumored interference in his previous relationship with longtime ex Selena Gomez. The Rhode Beauty mogul, 25, sat down with host Alex Cooper for an interview on the popular Call Her Daddy podcast on September 27th. Some fans think the timing of this conversation is interesting since Gomez, 30, released a trailer for her upcoming Apple+ documentary, My Mind and Me last week…

In the interview, Mrs. Bieber explained, “I can say, period, point blank, I was never with him when he was in a relationship with anybody.” She added, about the timeline of her romance with Justin, 28, “That’s the end of it.” While Hailey said that it is “not [her] character to mess with someone’s relationship,” the model noted that she understands the heightened attention from fans surrounding her marriage, and how this might relate to her pop star husband’s past relationships.
“Well I think even for starters, even me talking about him, or talking about our relationship, people will take that and be like, ‘all she ever talks about is her relationship with him,'” Hailey continued regarding her love for the Grammy winner. “Even something like that, I’m just like, well we are married, and he’s a huge part of my life, and obviously people are very interested in our life together.”

The Vogue cover girl — who recently celebrated four years of marriage with the “Yummy” hitmaker — also discussed dealing with Internet haters and online trolls on social media. “You’re not obligated to like me, but I believe that no matter what, there can always be mutual respect between people,” she said. “To me that means, you don’t have to say anything. You don’t have to like me, but you don’t have to say anything either.”
On Sept. 30, 2019, the couple celebrated their love with a memorable, star-studded and large soiree with family and friends. Bieber and Baldwin Bieber, who donned a custom Off-White wedding gown, exchanged vows and Tiffany & Co. rings at the Montage Palmetto Bluff venue in Bluffton, South Carolina.
Gomez and Bieber were first linked in 2010, and dated on-and-off until March 2018, when they called it off for good. While Gomez hasn’t directly commented on the drama surrounding Hailey’s rumored ‘stealing’ of Justin (and Selenators are guessing that she might mention her romantic history in her forthcoming doc), she did allude to turmoil that centered around her relationship with the “Intentions” crooner during an Instagram Live last year.
In the video, Gomez opened up about her song, “Look at Her Now” and seemed to hint that she was aware of some of her fans attacking Hailey online. “I am grateful for the response that the song is getting. I’m so grateful. However, I do not stand for women tearing women down,” she said after Hailey liked an Instagram post from Elle magazine that featured Gomez as its cover star. “I will never, ever be by that. So please be kind to everyone. It doesn’t matter what the situation is, if you’re my fans don’t be rude to anybody, please.”
