Fans Think Hailey Bieber Looks Like Morticia Addams In The Slinky Black Dress She Wore To The Vanity Fair After-Party
March 18, 2023 by Maria Pierides
On a red carpet full of daring, skin-exposing looks, Hailey Bieber still managed to turn heads at the Vanity Fair Oscars after-party on Sunday, March 12th, in a chic and classy black gown. And that is why we, and so many others, regard her as a style maven!
The 26-year-old Victoria’s Secret model is no stranger to flesh-flashing looks of course, and has rocked so many risqué pieces on the red carpet, on social media, and on magazine covers over the past few years. If we had her abs, we would flaunt them at every moment, too! But we love how she toned it down and went for something so elegant for the after-party, which she attended with 29-year-old husband Justin Bieber.
Hailey stole the show in a custom Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello figure-hugging dress, which was essentially a work of art thanks to its gorgeous asymmetric sleeves, one of which extended to touch the floor, and the other which extended into a built-in opera glove, as well as a large bow on the shoulder. Exquisite doesn’t even cut it!
The Vogue Australia cover girl accessorized with a large diamond ear cuff, which really stood out thanks to her recently-chopped wet look slightly tousled hair (which was styled by Bryce Scarlett using John Frieda products) being tucked behind her ear.
Hailey’s glam by Mary Phillips appeared to have been done using her now-viral method to ensure the maximum glow (look it up on TikTok if you want to try the routine that *everyone* is trying right now!) and she also went for a bright red manicure by Zola Ganzorigt that was also very hard to miss when placed against her black dress. The red and black color palette will never get old!
Instagram was full to the brim with complimentary comments from various accounts showcasing Hailey’s look, which a few fans compared to Addams family matriarch Morticia Addams (who is currently being portrayed by Catherine Zeta-Jones in Tim Burton’s Wednesday, starring Jenna Ortega as the title character.) “Morticia vibes!” exclaimed one fan, followed by the hand clapping emoji. “So stunning,” raved one fan, while another said, “I’m obsessed.” “Omg gorgeous,” praised another, followed by the heart eyes, fire, and hand clapping emojis.
“In her short hair era and it is perfect for this kind of dress!” exclaimed another approving fan. “Slayed this look,” gushed another, followed by three very apt fire emojis. “Immediately yes,” commented another, while someone else said “she is the moment.” Another fan said she was “so classy,” which we think was the vibe she and stylist Karla Welch were going for.
Other Celebs Who Went For LBDs At The Vanity Fair After-PartyHailey wasn’t the only one who made a case for the LBD (that’s long black dress, on this occasion) at the Vanity Fair after-party. Take a look at a few others who turned heads for all the right reasons in their long black dresses on the red carpet…
Christina Aguilera in Custom Chrome HeartsThe “Pa’ Mis Muchachas” singer poured her curves into a figure-hugging black velvet gown by Chrome Hearts, featuring long sleeves and a dramatic plunging front. Xtina doesn’t attend many red carpets these days, but when she does, she goes all out as this red carpet evidently proves!
The Desperate Housewives alum may have been wearing a cutout black dress with a plunging front *and* a sheer skirt, but we still think she looked incredibly chic in the risqué number. Some people just exude class and elegance regardless, don’t they?!
Akin to her main Oscars look, the Tick, Tick… Boom! actress also kept things simple and elegant at the after-party in a floor-length Roberto Cavalli textured black column dress, which had a subtle plunging front made a little more modest thanks to some criss-cross detailing in the middle. Simply flawless!
The award-winning Ozark actress proved that a simple black dress doesn’t have to be boring, as she walked the red carpet in a high-fashion Off-White Fall 2023 number with a dramatic and unexpected neckline, designed by Ibrahim Kamara. Wow!
Akin to Megan Fox and Hailey Bieber, Billie went down the gothic route for the after-party! There was nothing little about the “No Time To Die” hitmaker‘s Rick Owens black dress, and we are so obsessed with her entire look!
