Halle Berry took everyone by surprise when she walked the 27th annual Critics’ Choice Awards red carpet on Sunday, March 13th; not only because she debuted a brand new cropped silver hairstyle which gave the whole internet Storm from X-Men throwback vibes, but because of her super-daring outfit of choice that showed off her enviable figure in a chic yet powerful way!

The 55-year-old Oscar-winner stunned in a black velvet power suit by Dolce and Gabbana, which was teamed with a very unexpected see-through white Mônot bustier corset underneath. It was the perfect juxtaposition to the sharp suit, and we are obsessed with how her toned and flawless abs were peeking through the ribbed design! She accessorized her head-turning look with some emerald and diamond earrings from Samer Halimeh, and soft makeup.

It's no secret that the Bruised director has been flooring us with her red carpet attire over the past few months. The sheer Elie Saab gown she wore to the NAACP Awards on February 27th and the plunging black Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini super-mini dress she wore to the Moonfall premiere on January 31st are still living rent free in our minds – and this Critics' Choice look will definitely be joining them!

Berry wasn’t just a sartorial red carpet winner for us, as she was also a literal winner too, walking home with the coveted SeeHer award, previously won by the likes of Zendaya, Gal Gadot, and Viola Davis. The award was founded in 2015 by the Association of National Advertisers and the Female Quotient, and honors women who advocate for gender equality, push boundaries, and defy stereotypes. The Catwoman actress took to Instagram on Monday, March 14th to address her well-deserved victory, writing: "Our voice is the most powerful tool we have, and it’s imperative that we stand up and use it! Here’s to every person who has felt diminished, misunderstood, marginalized and discounted. Now is the time for all of us to stand up, stand united and have our voices heard!"
