Halle Berry has always looked amazing – and we know from watching the many workout videos she posts on Instagram that she works incredibly hard to maintain her super-toned physique.

However, working out is only half of it, as the 58-year-old Catwoman star has also opened up on a few occasions about some of the things she eats – and doesn’t eat – to stay so trim and toned. Keep reading to find out some of the things she has said in the past about her diet…

Halle Berry Eats A Keto Style Diet To Manage Her Diabetes

The Oscar-winning actress reportedly follows a strict keto diet and has cut out sugar, which she previously told Women's Health helps her manage her diabetes.

"After being diagnosed with diabetes at 22, I adopted what I now know was basically a keto diet," the Bruised actress told Women's Health. "My doctors told me I'd have to keep an eye on how I ate to stay healthy, and I took it to heart. I wanted to get off of insulin, so I decided to say goodbye to processed carbs and sugar like baked goods and white bread—and it has seriously paid off."

The ageless actress added: "For more than 15 years, eating this way has helped me manage my diabetes—but it's also given me a ton of energy and helped me maintain my weight and stay in shape."

What Does Halle Berry Eat To Maintain Her Toned Physique?

The Never Let Go actress has been open about her meals on several occasions, and previously told Women's Health that her breakfast might seem a little unconventional.

"I don't usually eat a traditional breakfast," the Moonfall star confessed. "I'm a huge fan of bulletproof coffee, so I typically brew myself a nice coffee and blend it with butter, MCT oil, and collagen; sometimes a bit of cream," she added.

What Does Halle Berry Eat For Lunch And Dinner?

The Kidnap actress also detailed some of the things she might have for lunch and dinner – and we're taking notes!

Lunch could be "a simple soup loaded with different vegetables and a protein, and top it with some cheese," or Berry could alternatively "go for a big salad." Dinner also sounds exceptionally healthy and nutritious, as she said she usually goes for something like "grilled vegetables with a plant-based protein like chickpeas."

The bad news is that Berry doesn't have dessert, but she did say that she occasionally likes to treat herself to a glass of red wine after dinner. Cutting out sugar all those years ago means that Berry doesn't get sugar cravings anymore, but she reportedly always has salty snacks on hand.
