Halle Berry Just Revealed This Heartbreaking Update About Her Health Status–We’re Devastated For Her!

Halle Berry is revealing her personal health concerns amid the ongoing novel coronavirus outbreak.

In a new interview with Variety, the “Catwoman” star just made the painful admission that she feels especially at risk for the virus due to her diabetes. Wow–that is so challenging!

“I do feel at risk,” she told the paper. "I’m very strict about quarantining and who is in my bubble," explaining how she has handled the stay-at-home orders with extreme caution.

The 54-year-old discussed how seriously she takes social distancing and quarantining at home due to her underlying condition.

"We have a whole section of the house [where] when you go out in the world and buy something, it has to sit in this purgatory,” she explained.

According to the American Diabetes Association (ADA), there isn't enough information to determine whether people with diabetes are more likely to catch COVID-19, but having the disease does mean that there is a "much higher rates of serious complications and death than people without diabetes."

The actress explained how having diabetes has affected her career and life in other instances. When filming "John Wick" in 2019, the actress explained that she broke three ribs easily, and later realized that it was due to her diabetes.

“I thought I had bone cancer,” said the mother of Nahla and Maceo. “I thought it was early osteoporosis. I couldn’t understand why this was happening to me when I was really physically fit. I have a propensity to fracture bones faster than other people.” Yikes!

She was also injured while making her upcoming MMA film "Bruised." The star, who also directed the film, was “slightly injured” during a fight scene.

“I didn’t want to stop because I had prepared for so long,” she told the paper. “We had rehearsed. We were ready. So my mind — my director’s mind — was just, 'Keep going.'"

"And I compartmentalized that, and I just kept going: ‘I’m not going to stop. I’ve come too far. I’m going to act as if this isn’t hurting. I’m going to will myself through it.’ And so we did," she added. Wow--so brave!
