Party season is definitely upon us, as proven by some of the super-dazzling outfits on the People’s Choice Awards red carpet on Tuesday, December 7th. Halle Berry was one of the many A-listers to go down the sparkly route at the awards ceremony, and we are absolutely head over heels with her outfit of choice! The 55-year-old actress channeled one of her most iconic roles, and walked the red carpet in a seriously sexy catsuit from the Rick Owens Fall 2021 RTW collection. And we’re confident that Catwoman herself would give it her seal of approval!
We didn’t think it could get any sexier than the white bodysuit Berry wore on her recent Women’s Health front cover, but we think this red carpet outfit might just top it! The Catwoman actress’s sparkly purple catsuit was one of the raciest outfits of the entire evening, and featured long sleeves, an exposed zip running all the way down the front and back, and an extremely sexy plunging neckline that was not for the faint hearted. The Bruised director accessorized her skintight onepiece with equally shiny holographic heels, and dangling silver earrings, and wore her hair in a fierce but non-distracting updo. It’s clear that she wanted the catsuit to do all the talking! Mission most definitely accomplished!
We've regarded the Kidnap actress as a style icon for years, as she's never been afraid to experiment with fashion and step out in some of the most risqué outfits we've ever seen. And on Tuesday night, she was also regarded as another type of icon too, as she was the well-deserved recipient of the People's Icon Award, which she was given due to her incredible contributions to TV and film over the past 30 years. We got to appreciate her ensemble even more when she took to the stage to accept her award, which was presented to her by none other than Cardi B, who also went down the sequins route with her PCA outfit. In her acceptance speech, the actress dedicated the award to her fans, and also thanked her children, Nahla Ariela, 13, and Maceo Robert, 8, for losing "so much time with their mommy" because of her work commitments.
"The only reason I have been here for 30 years, still working and doing what I love on my own terms, redefining myself decade after decade is because of all of you. Every single one of you. You allow me to be myself," the former Bond Girl said, in reference to her fans. She added: "My two little kids, they have to lose so much time with their mommy because I get to go work and do what I love, so thank you Nahla, thank you Maceo — I hope you find something in life that you can love and you can do with as much vigor and as much zest as I do what I do. I love you guys."
