Unless you've been living under a rock the past year, you've probably heard of the notorious Halo Top ice cream. At only 300 calories per pint, this all-natural, high-protein dessert has stirred up quite a bit of hype.

Few people can resist the seemingly healthy ice cream. What's not to love about a low-calorie dessert? But, is it really as "healthy" as it's made out to be?
According to Consumer Reports, Halo Top brags about having extra nutrients, but that doesn't necessarily mean that the ice cream is super healthy. Halo Top is stil extremely processed, and one of the ingredients can apparently lead to constipation or diarrhea. Yikes!
Halo Top's website also encourages customers to eat a whole pint. One pint still has way more calories than regular ice cream, but is indulging in an entire pint of ice cream really that healthy?
People have had mixed reviews on the actual taste of the ice cream. Sure, Halo Top might have less calories than your favorite Ben & Jerry's flavor, but sacrificing taste just doesn't seem worth it when it comes to dessert.
