Have Dry, Mature Skin? These Are The Worst Powders To Use Because They Turn Your Skin Into The ‘Sahara Desert’

If you have dry or aging skin, steer clear of heavy or highly matte powders, as advised by professional makeup artists. In a recent video, pro MUA and TikTok creator Melissa Murdick discussed which foundation products are more suitable for those over 40.
She emphasized that powder foundation is generally not recommended for individuals in this age group, as it tends to settle into fine lines and wrinkles, making them more prominent and highlighting signs of aging.
Since skin naturally becomes drier with age, powder foundations can further accentuate dryness and texture, resulting in a less radiant appearance.
As the clip began, Murdick said, “This is a very important PSA for folks who have dry skin or mature skin. If you are trying to find a powder, do not buy powders that are labeled as baking powders, like this Huda 1 or this one from one size.”
