Crackers
Crackers might not seem like they can do too much damage since they are so simple, but don’t let them fool you. They are high in sodium and very low in anything beneficial like fiber or vitamins, so crackers just fill you up and don’t replenish your energy levels at all.
Flavored Yogurt
While yogurt is typically quite beneficial to weight loss, flavored yogurts are typically a different story. Flavored yogurts often contain sugar and artificial sweeteners, which can cancel out the benefits you would normally get from the calcium, vitamins and probiotics naturally found in yogurt.
Granola Bars
A popular breakfast on-the-go or quick and easy snack, granola bars look healthy but are in reality not much better for you than a candy bar. It’s true that granola itself provides you with protein, fiber and nutrients, granola bars are made with sugar and additives that prevent you from absorbing nutrients properly.
Veggie Sticks
Many people opt for veggie sticks in place of potato chips, because they seem like they should be healthier for you. Veggie sticks are made from vegetables, so in theory they should provide many of the same benefits as vegetables themselves. But the truth is that they are heavily processed to the point where they don’t provide any nutritional value, and can be high in sodium.
