Prince Harry is not enjoying his life in the U.S. as much as he thought he would. The 35-year-old Duke of Sussex recently moved to Los Angeles along with his wife and 11-month-old son Archie, after the couple decided to step away from their royal duties.
A friend of Harry’s has divulged news of Harry’s new life in Los Angeles. Speaking to Radio Times, Dr. Jane Goodall – a renowned primatologist and friend to Harry and Meghan – said that Harry is finding his new routine “a bit challenging.”
"I don’t know how his career is going to map out, but, yes, I’ve been in touch – though I think he’s finding life a bit challenging right now," Goodall said.
Goodall also said that the royal couple had hinted at their desire to break away from frontline royal duties several months before they officially announced their departure.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced in January that they planned to step back as "senior" members of the Royal Family, though they would continue to support the Queen. They also said at this point that they intended to split their time between North America and the United Kingdom.
Meghan Markle, a former actress, reportedly always wanted to reside in the Los Angeles area. For the Duchess, Los Angeles seems like a comfortable fit as she is near her mom, friends and PR team. Hopefully things will ease up for Harry as he gets used to his new life with his family.
