Many Taco Bell menu items can be customized to fit a lower-calorie, higher-protein plan without sacrificing flavor.

Some of her go-to items include the spicy potato soft taco, Doritos locos tacos, bean burrito, and many more. Read on to get all her insights.
1. Cheesy Toasted Breakfast Burrito Bacon
Her first recommendation is the cheesy toasted breakfast burrito with bacon or sausage. “It’s only 250 calories and 13 grams of protein. Pretty decent option even though these are only available for a limited time,” she says.
2. Chicken Al Pastor Street Chalupas
Amber says that the Chicken Al Pastor Street Chalupas are about 590 calories for two and around 23 grams of protein. Plus, it contains six grams of fiber, making it a well-rounded option for those watching their weight.
3. Soft Taco
For the soft tacos, you can choose to order them with chicken, “which will make them a little bit higher in protein,” Amber notes. This option goes for 180 calories and nine grams of protein.
4. Spicy Potato Soft Taco
A fan-favorite item, the spicy potato taco is 240 calories and five grams of protein. Although a little lower than the other options, it has five grams of protein and 2 grams of fiber.
5. Doritos Locos Tacos
This choice is Amber’s personal favorite! “The supreme version is 190 calories and eight grams of protein,” Amber reveals. This is perfect for those who like a little bit of crunch when biting into a taco.
6. Chicken Enchilada Burrito
Next up are the chicken enchilada burritos. This option consists of “grilled, marinated, all-white meat chicken, seasoned rice, red sauce, reduced-fat sour cream, and a three-cheese blend wrapped inside a warm flour tortilla.”
It contains 380 calories and a whopping 19 grams of protein.
7. Bean burrito
Not a fan of meat but want protein? The bean burrito is perfect for you! With beans, cheese, red sauce, and onions, this option has 360 calories, eight grams of fiber, and 13 grams of protein.
Some of her other go-to options include the burrito supreme, three cheese chicken flatbread melt, black beans, chips and nacho cheese sauce, the cantina chicken bowl, or cinnamon twists if you’re looking for a sweet option, and finally, a Mountain Dew Baja Blast with zero sugar to quench your thirst!
